Refer ee Jaco Peyper put Smith in the bin for 10 minutes after deeming he kicked the ball while Ireland still had possession of it at a 'ruck'.

However, after reviewing the footage Rolland has told All Blacks coach Steve Hansen it wasn't even an offence that require penalising.

"It was a no-brainer, it wasn't a sin-binning," Hansen said.

"The ball was out and he kicked the ball. Alain Rolland confirmed that with me that it shouldn't have been a yellow card. It shouldn't have been a penalty. What he did was fine."

The All Blacks were penalised 14 times while Ireland had the whistle blown against them just four times.

Malakai Fekitoa was also awarded a yellow card and has been banned for one week for a high tackle.

Much better to focus on nz dirty/crooked play as the global rugby community is much more concerned about this than this diversion about Jaco making a mistake!
Beeno keeping the heat on where it rightly belongs!

Cloudy...Jaco will be fuming that he was caught redhanded trying to help the ABs opposition again ...expect more of the same come Super Rugby though...a leopard cannot change it's spots -  Jeremiah 13:23

Jacko gets " Beeno-itis " once & a while - irrational thoughts & deeds. It's a well known malady but sadly hard to cure.

Beeno stuck on words like "crooked". Poor wee chap sees Hillary in his dreams. Just substitute "skilled" for crooked & you will be making more sense Beeno. JW, always willing to help the helpless.

I have no problem if WR make statements like this, but why were the quiet for all his other errors over the years.
