Aside from the serious impact of the virus pandemic on economic markets - it is beginning to impact international world sport and the games in certain countries are badly affected.
Even though the virus has as yet not been found in some countries - SA is lucky that there is no evidence yet of the presence of the virus - but as expected many of the major sporting countries have problems. In Europe virus problems is major and from there it has spread to Germany, France, the UK and many of the smaller countries as well. The fact is the virus is already affecting Australia and from there it will be easy to spread to New Zealand and the Pacific islands.
The question is not which sport competitions will be effected, it is what major impact it would have on major competitions like the Olympic Games, the various rugby and soccer competitions, the IPL and the international tennis circuit, Fact is that sport in China is a NO-NO at present and Japan and Italy is nearing that point at present. In Europe some rugy games are being affected and the open borders policies in Europe has been suspended,
The virus is highly contagious and the situation can only get worse.
By the way Mozart there has been a case in Chicago identified and it would be preferable to avoid contact with some people - especially Democrats who have been infected by the Russian virus as well.
