I am talking about that player that leaves you wondering WTF were they thinking? I'd say probably Kruger, but based on some of the opinions here it could be anyone from Beast to Willie Le Roux.

Zane Kirchner is the Springbok who leaves me wondering "WTF were they thinking?"

There were quite a few bad performers by the boks last year.
1. Juandre "Missing in Action Man" Kruger2. Morne "I know what Meyer did last summer, thats why I'm still in the team" Steyn3. Zane "Holy shit I can run with my legs, but where to" Kirchner4. Flip "I'm lazy and stupid and far rather strangle a guy than tackle him" van der merwe5. Jacques "to many dumplings, Banzai" Fourie6. Jean "I can score tries but can't tackle" de Villiers7. Willem "I'm not fat, I'm big boned. Beefcake, yeah!!!" AlbertsOr just Fat Albe rt

 Corn

You have it spot on insofar as 1,2,3, 5 and 7 above is concerned.   Insofar as costing us wins no 2 tops the list,

However, I would rather have JJ instead of De Villiers on that list.

My list of disrepute is -

1. Morne "I know what Meyer did last summer, thats why I'm still in the team" Steyn

2  Juandre "Missing in Action Man" Kruger

3  Willem "I'm not fat, I'm big boned. Beefcake, yeah!!!" Alberts

Or just Fat Sloth "missing key tackles" Alberts 4  Zane "Holy shit I can run with my legs, but where to" Kirchner5  Jacques "to many dumplings, Banzai" Fourie6  JJ "Missed tackle" Engelbrecht
Please leave out Flippie - you should not play the fool with the mentally retarded.  Not nice of you.

Zane was very strong, in fact a big improvement on Willie, but with Willie on the wing, the two combined beautifully in a way that JP and Willie (at 15) couldn't. Were it not for JJ it would have been even better.

The worst is JJ, but at 15? Willie was very poor when tested. Kruger was poor as well. On the whole, more good than bad, Bismarck blew hot and col though, and was nowhere at Ellis Park from start to finish, but that's another issue entirely for he can actually play well.

Well, i picked players that cost us games and the games that we lost were against NZ. So de villiers, still rate him highly cost us a chance to win. Huge blunder against Bauden.
But then half the team was poor against the AB. No point in blaming the ref, the boks should never allowed the all blacks to get a bonus point at Eden park. The should have tried to win and worst case get at least a bonus point.
Lets see what happens this year.

So Jean powers through NZ to put us ahead ....then goes for an aggressive tackle and Barrett avoids it....but he bounces off a surprised Morne right into the arms of JJ.....who gives him a back massage. And Jean is a poor defender....ignorant, puerile rubbish. Jean is the only reason our backline was competitive.

What about useless Jannie. He may go into the guiness book of records for missing the most tackles leading to tries by any player

Don't let anyone put you off - the weakest players let us down in the tests against the AB's and in that case Morne Steyn was the poorest of them all.   The rest were only camp followers = they tried desperately to follow Steyn's example. .   He was hopeless in defence and hopeless in decision making.

For me it has to be Juandre Kruger, it was so painful watching the lad who lacked grant, he could hardly harm a fly. Its fair to say the rest of the team had their inconsistencies on different matches IMO.

jannie du plessis, the only thing he did of any note was get tired in the first 20mins of every test he played, after doing 20 minutes of nothing.

I see our Kiwi posters haven't got over the fact that Bismarck broke their mincing little hero Dan Carter last year.
I suspect we're going to see a lot of bleating when Biz breaks more of their precious All Blacks in 2014 . . . starting in the Super 15. The Kiwis will be trembling when they come up against Captain Biz and the Mighty Sharks!
