The Aussies are going back to serial flop Quaalude Cooper for the Bok test. This gives Dave another chance to see his erstwhile favorite at 10. But it almost has the feeling of a no mas moment……you want to stop the rot, so you choose a player synonymous with losing.

The Aussies should have sent their SOS to Skelton instead.

Mozart

With Mostert at 7 they must think that  Cooper will have no problem  in beating him when attacking the blindside and  that could be a major problem for he Springboks.

I thought you buy into Dave’s theory that there is no space in the modern game…now you are predicting the Quaalude will turn the match by beating our top tackler. You seem a little confused.

Well Mostert is a poor open field defender and definitely not a top tackler so Copper may be able to ebat him/    Du Toit effectively neutralized the England backline  in the WC final - Moster could not neutralize anything.

Cooper on his day is simply brilliant but no match for Pollard Has plenty of experience now as well - interesting selection If anyone was going to find a way to breach the Bok wall, on his day it’s Cooper

The Pollard of today is not a top 5 flyhalf. Is he a top 10? The ability is there, but it's being coached out of him. Pollard is being outplayed now in pretty much every game. Cooper is expert at pulling the interior defenders out of position and finding soft spots in the line. He was part of the team in 2015 who made a fool of Dumbian, thus beating the Boks.

What exactly has Pollard been doing that is top class? He hasn't had a dominant and complete game since the Scotland test of 2018 where he ran the show. You yet again speak without any consideration for reality. Pollard has the ability to be the best Bok flyhalf of all time, and the very best in world rugby, he has looked less and less like that player the longer José seeps his poison into our game. Pollard hasn't outplayed any 10 this year, aside from Abzhandadze. Sanchez and Russell made Pollard look absolutely ordinary. What references do you have to support your claims? Considering the Boks are the worst attacking side in the competition, playing the worst brand of rugby at tier 1 and tier 2 level, with anemic attack production, you have a hell of a task on your hands finding anything to support those bold claims.

There was  the WC in 2019 - which you missed out totally and so to discuss Pollard as flyhalf  with an idiot that rate Morne as a domnant flyhalf is amazing/
