....that he is wanted? Or would he have come back if he knew JJ is a fixture? Maybe this is all BS. But if you see him in the touring squad....bye bye JJ. If Meyer starts JJ for the Welsh test that could be the last time he starts on the YE tour. But I think there is a fair chance Meyer might be "trying different combinations" for Wales". Hopefully combinations that can defend as well as attack.
Would Fury be coming back if he hadn't got signals....
In the days of Fourie, it was Adi Jacobs as your choice........now with JJ, its been a leaning towards the equally ineffective de Jongh. You really dont know what constitutes a test quality 13.........one huge certainty is that its not Adi Jacobs....the world and the mothers will tell you that.
Fourie wanting to play for the Boks again has stuff all to do with JJ, much like the return of du Preez and Bakkies will have stuff all to do with the incumbents.
At least with Fourie returning, we will not have to endure the useless de Jongh in the match 23.......if Fourie is in, its going to be bye bye de Jongh in total.......he wont tour at all.

Is Fourie in person coming back to SA or do you refer to the condition in his contract that he would be allowed to play for the Springboks if selected? In the case of the latter he would have included that clause because he hopes for selection in future - not because anybody send him a signal to that.
I think that SARU is not going to allow Meyer to select foreign-based players to be selected just because he wants them - he will have to have particularly strong motivation for any such selection. The number of foreign based players will be limited and they are going to look at players like Pietersen and Habana in particular - ie in cases where players are meeting ALL SARU's requirements - also those relating to the quota system.
The chances of selection of foreign-based players like Morne Steyn, Kruger, Bakklies Botha, Vermaak, Fourie, etc will be very small indeed as I read the present situation. If there are reasonable locally-based candidates they will get the nod - not the foreign based players.

I asked a decent question and got zero as a reply. And my janitorial sources were all over TV and in the press - so if SARU's chief executive said what he did on TV - is that to be disbelieved?
In any event - we will know what is the case by this evening and I hope for your case all your over 30 year-old useless favourites are included - for the sake of the Sprin gboks that they are not.
