ironically they call that the WP schools team - they might as well call it Boland! or a Paarl/Stellenbosch select.

Poor man. I will forgive your show of ignorance as you are located in Afganistan after all.

Stellenbosch and Paarl are Geographically located in the Boland, ironically there are only 2 players in that whole team whose schools are not Geographically located in the Boland:

D Cox (Excelsior)

M Nortje (Tygerberg)

the rest of the team come from 2 towns in the boland

Paarl (14 players)

Stellenbosch ( 6 players)

So Dok cravens funny boundaries still make WP a force. If it wasnt for dok where would boland be today?

Dont be such a prick... DOK CRAVEN!

Thats exactly what my point / question was...

If most of the players come from the Boland area but represent WP...

Where do the Boland side's players come from?

So next time try getting your reading glasses on before you attempt to insult my knowledge of the game DOK CRAVEN founded.

My appologies Osamma get off your high horse please I only understood your comment as an insult.

Current Boland side would be more like a Boland CD side.

Boland – 15 Wilbur Boonzaaier (Groendal), 14 Chesne van Wyk (New Orleans), 13 Anzo Stubbs (Schoonspruit), 12 Courtney Cupido (Worcester Gym), 11 Luwandre Visagie (Charlie Hof), 10 Colin Willemse (Langeberg), 9 Corne Sharp (Augsburg), 8 Dian Koen (Hermanus), 7 Cobus Geldenhuys (Charlie Hof), 6 Hilroy Baadjies (New Orleans), 5 Paul Louw (Bonnievale), 4 Gideon Koegelenberg (Hugenote, c), 3 Wilco Louw (Drostdy), 2 Francois Esterhuyzen (Overberg), 1 Farrel Kelly (Drostdy).
Subs: 16 Floris Mostert (Cederberg), 17 Erik Meyer (Porterville), 18 Ernst Claassen (Worcester Gym), 19 Hanro Liebenberg (Drostdy), 20 Phillip Jacobs (Dirkie Uys), 21 Schalk Hugo (Worcester Gym), 22 Chad Kleinsmidt (Hermanus).

Boland should not exist really thye should simply b eaprt of WP.

Doc craven knew Stelleboch university rugby couldnt succeed without being part of WP. Ditto these schools. If they became a part of boland who would they play. The kids wanting to excel at rugby would go there anymore. No scrap boland rugby wise and have done.

Beeno liking a nice tidy solution.

Yep back in the Jurassic period when I was playing....we always rated Bishops, Sacs, Rondebosch, Paul Roos, Jan van Riebeek  and Paarl Boys. Not so much Paarly Gym. They were always tough buggers though....

I think Paarl Gym and Paarl Boys are the top 2 in the country this year. Grey Bloem are down at 4 or so

In my part of the world the big ones were Grey PE, St Andrews, Dale, Queens and Selborne
