Year End Player Notes.....Dyantyi 6/10

Dyantyi's score would have been much higher before the YE tour, but he failed to impress up north. His high ball takes were less than secure....and on the chase, too often he overran the kick leaving the receiver free to start counter attacks. On defence, the inside rush tendency which seems to have been coached into our wings, left us vulnerable on several occasions. He tackles well enough when in position, but his aggressiveness leaves him vulnerable.....he has to learn when containment and moving with the passing is better than trying to snuff it out. On attack, he remains a weapon....quick to see opportunities, with the pace and guile to exploit them effectively. Our best stepper after Molbe he is very hard to bring down in space. But there is no papering over the cracks.....the matches on the YE tour are far closer to what he will experience at the WC, and he still has a lot of development needs.
