 Zuma is actually full time in the news and that is for him constantly bad news,  
On Monday there was a Constitutional Court case on whether the voting on the motion of no confidence in Zuma in Parliament should be in secret.   Zuma obviously does not want a secret vote - but the Court after hearing evidence  from 10:00 to 19:50 reserved judgement.   Not sure how the Court would rule in this case - but if any recent judgements of the Court is borne in mind the likelihood of a judgement in favour of a secret vote is  quite likely.
Then there is the Molefe case constantly in the news,    Molefe left Eskom in November after being implicated in the State ioc Capure Report of Madonsela in various contracts with the Guptas.   A while ago the news leaked that the Eskom Board has approved a payment of R30 million to Molefe in pension benefits after the scoundrel was employed by Eskom for only 18 months.    The matter was immediately taken to court and the Government Minister involved panicked and refused to approve the payment.   The result was that on Friday last week the Minister announced that Molefe would be with immediate effect return to Eskom as CEO,  so back to court was the immediate result as to the issue.  
In the meantime Molefe in January was fast-tracked to become a Member of Parliament  and the scandal broke when after firing Gordahn as Minister of Finance, Zuma wanted to appoint him as Minister of Finance.   The ANC top leadership - at least three of them - refused absolutely to accept that and Zuma then appointed Gigaba as Minister of Finance.    The latter is also a Gupta associate.   
Molefe is a key to Zuma's plan for nuclear energy obtained from a Russian conglomerate.   That would mean bribes running into billions.    So since Zuma could not have him as Minister of Finance - the best way was to send him back to Eskom as CEO,
But yesterday another scandal broke.   The previous Minister of Mining said that Zuma's son wanted him to meet with Atul Gupta and approached him with a request that he meets with that scoundrel.   He refused and informed Zuma of his refusal.   Molefe and Ngubane (the Eskom Board Chairman) approached him to cancel the mining licenses of Gencor because of a fictitious account of R2 billion because of delivery of sub-standard coal to Eskom.   He refused and the result was that he was moved by Zuma from being Minister of Mining to Minister for the Public Service.   In the recent cabinet reshuffle the man was dropped as Minister.  That implicated Zuma directly in the scandal.
Be it as it may the Molefe case is likely to be heard this week in the Northern Gauteng High Court this week or at the latest next week and all hell is likely to break out in Court.   It is highly entertaining to see how Court cases involving Zuma directly or indirectly proceeds.    They are broadcasted in detail on TV and Hollywood  has nothing to offer which is better entertainment.   And Zuma loses court case after court case and is appealing the decisions time and again.  
The Chief Justice is very unhappy with pressure being applied on Judges by the Government and mentioned the recent break-in at his office as an example,   He obviously believe (like 90% of the people) that the break-in was organized by State Security.
The opposition is screaming murder - but would prefer not to see Zuma gone as   President.    Every month he stays on  costs the ANC another circa 150 000 votes and that would mean the ANC would lose the 2019 election.   And the scoundrel is now wanting his ex-wife Dlamini-Zuma to succeed him as ANC leader and openly stated so over the weekend.  I do think that the ANC will split once that happens.

You've missed on finishing the puzzle.
At the center of it all are the Guptas. When the announcement was made to build more nuclear reactors, the Guptas bought into uranium shares bigtime.
When Gordhan Pravin, Minister of Finance declared that there was no money for the development it became a huge obstacle to Zuma and the Guptas. Zuma of course was going to receive a kickback from the Guptas.
Zuma had to remove Pravin for the plan to work.
The other part of the jigsaw was the head of Eskom, Molefe, who was tracked to have visited the Guptas residence countless times. He was like you say the one handing out huge coal contracts to the Guptas.
The plan fell through when he was forced to step down because of corruption charges but for the plan to work Zuma has now re-instated him as head of Eskom.
Suddenly the nuclear expansion program has been given the green light by Gordham's replacement and the contracts will be handed out by Molefe.
Must say Zuma is exceptionally stupid if he thinks he can dupe the opposition.

You are 100% correct.   I did hint at the kickback story about the nuclear power programme and the fact is you should read a new book that appeared recently, namely "The Republic of Gupta".    
There is one paragraph in that book quoted in the newspapers is that if any contract involving the Guptas is mentioned write down the amount involved and if you add it up the amount is so big Zuma would be incapable to read it out.  
However,  the whole saga is destroying the country and the economy.

Shocking that this level of corruption and criminal activity can be tolerated by the SA citizens without action.
My heart bleeds for the poor folks who are having to suffer through this sad period.
Let's trust that the courts are above board and render the verdict for the sake of all folks in RSA.

Today the SA Council of Churches comprising Churches with a massive following in the Black community made a statement to the effect that South Africa is becoming a Mafia State.  
When asked whether Zuma himself is corrupt the Secretary General of the Council said the jury is out on that one - a diplomatic answer.   The Council said they have sent their report to the ANC for further discussion with them. 
This could be he final nail in Zuma's coffin.   If the priests and church ministers start speaking against Zuma he is a dead duck - it could hurt the ANC massively. 
There is an ANC NEC meeting next week and it is likely that there is a massive fight at the meeting between the pro-Zuma and anti-Zuma factions looming.
Another bad sign is that Chief Justice Mogoeng is a lay preacher at one of the Churches and it could influence him as well in respect of the secret vote issue.   The Churches claim that whistleblowers are terrified about what would happen to them for blowing open secrets on crooked dealings.   Even if the NEC supports Zupta - a secret vote of no confidence  in Parliament will likely succeed.  
When asked about whether Gigaba can be trusted the Church representatives said he appointed too many Gupta associates to the state corporation boards to be trusted.

The Constitutional Court is preparing to hand down its judgement in the United Democratic Movement’s case for Parliament to allow a secret vote on a motion of no confidence against President Jacob Zuma.

Mantashe says the idea that the country must be put first and not the ANC is problematic.

He addressed the South African Communist Party imbizo in Boksburg earlier today.

The ANC’s secretary general says ANC Members of Parliament (MPs) must know where their loyalties lie.

“The say we support a motion against whomsoever, it doesn’t matter how irritated or how bad that person in the ANC, and we support the opposition – that is the highest level of betrayal.”

He believes the MPs must put the ANC first.

“There is a concept that is thrown at us all the time: ‘put the country first, not the ANC’. Very problematic concept.”

Earlier this week the Economic Freedom Fighters told the constitutional court ANC MPs must act in fulfilment of their oath of office even when it's contrary to the wishes of their party, adding that their duty is primarily to the electorate and the Constitution."

The above attitude is a betrayal of the country and is totally indicative of a despotic approach of the ANC and the reason for their failure to act against the crooks in their party.   This indicates why the ANC under Zuma constantly piss on the Constitution and virtually all court decisions go against them.  

Maybe for the longer term saving of the country it would be best to leave Zuma in charge until 2019 and have his wife succeed him as the ANC leader.    That will surely mean that they would lose the 2019 election and disintegrate afterwards.

The Council of Churches is sending out a letter to all parsons to read out in their churches and for a period of six months pray for the saving of the country from the rogues .   The church members may disregard what they read in the papers - but will they disregard what they are told from the pulpits?

 

 There was a number of municipal by-elections yesterday - the most important being in Nqutu Municipality where all wards were up for grabs since the Council was desolved - so 15 wards were up for grabs.   In the 2016 election the election resulted in the IFP had 7 wards, the ANC 7 wards and the DA 1 ward.

The results on the IEC website indicated that the IFP won in the by-election in 11 wards with 59,4% of the vote - with the ANC getting 33,6% of the vote.  
In the 2016 elections the IFP got 40,2% of the vote as against the 39,6% of the ANC.
Zuma  himself campaigned in Nqutu and the results were a disaster for the ANC.   If this is replicated in the rest of KwaZulu-Natal the ANC would lose the 2019 elections in that province as well.
Beaufort West    
In Beaufort West the result was also significant as the outcome would determine which party will run the Municipality in future and is really a straight fight between the ANC and the DA.   Will also deal with that one after announcement.
According to newspaper reports the DA retained the ward.   In 2016 the DA got 46,8% of the vote - this time around the DA got 56,85% of the vote.  
If the above is replicated country-wide in 2019 the ANC will struggle to get 40% of the vote in 2019 - especially if Zuma's ex-wife succeeds him as ANC leader.    
I would say the outcomes are so shocking for the ANC that it is likely that they may soon recall Zuma either by the NEC or if that is not successful by a vote by a bigger percentage of the ANC for the motion of no confidence in Zuma in Parliament.
A further shocker is being released today.   An academic report into State Capture by the Universities of Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Witwatersrand is to be released today so I suggest any interesting people study the reference sites referred to above.

The scandals are gonna be the best reality tv in decades :)

 First of all I took a hard look at the Nqutu elections into prospect the following are crucial figures in any event:-
2016 Election   -   IFP      =     15 910     -   40,2%                             ANC     =     15 648    -    39,3%                             NFP     =       6 061
2017                 -   IFP      =      27 829    -    56,2%                             ANC     =     15 743    -    32,7%
In 2010 there was a split in the IFP initiated by some insiders and the ANC in an effort to split the IFP and give the ANC control of major areas in KwaZulu-Natal.  The new party was the NFP and in many municipal areas - such as Nqutu -   the ANC and the NFP formed an alliance to govern.   In the above election the NFP collapsed completely and their supporters went back to the IFP and only a few remained with the ANC,  
Fact is the ANC total votes increased by 95 votes - the IFP by  11 919 votes.   The above showed that in the province where a third of all ANC members reside the voters are deserting the party and their associates  in a major way.
If this type of results are replicated in the Province as a whole - the ANC may still win the election in Durban Metro, Pietermaritzburg and KwaDukuza, but is likely to lose control in virtually all other areas in the Province.   The problem is that the ANC has been split into two factions - the Zuma supporters and the Ramaphosa supporters and the latter is undermining the Zuma supporters, who are feeling the heat.  
Now to further developments yesterday - in a study dealing with the state capture by academics attached to  Witwatersrand,  Cape Town and Stellenbosch universities resulted in a more damning report on Zuma than even the churches managed to do and made a reference to treason on his part.
The situation insofar as Zuma and his mafia crowd is concerned the situation is getting worse virtually daily,    I think the real issue will end up with the decision of the Constitutional Court on the secret vote in Parliament issue.   And next week the Molefe re-appointment will serve before the High Court and the result will be another judgement against Zuma and co.   
  
     

The latest scandal broke with the publishing of e-mails between the Gupta's associates  exposing how the Guptas control the Government through Zuma.   The scandals are now being exposed on a virtually daily basis.
Meantime the ANC NEC meeting this weekend has resulted in a serious fight for and against Zuma.   It is likely that the problem is serious and that like the rest of the ANC is split on factional lines,   The outcome will probably be made known by tomorrow, but my bet is that if Zuma is  not recalled this weekend - the party is so split that if that does not happen the motion of no confidence in Parliament, to be debated after the secret vote issue is resolved by the Constitutional court will do the trick.
