I was very impressed with his game this weekend. He came of age late last season and has continued that form in his last 2 games. Easily our number two hooker behind Bismark. An intelligent player - in the right place at the right time

Moz he is impressing in that department as well. I am a Strauss fan, but Chiliboy is playing better rugby right now and I dont think there is any holding him back
I disagree with Moz re Chilliboy, I expect big things from him, I was never a fan, couldn't for the life of me understand the hype surrounding him but once again I repeat myself by saying he is hugely underrated. That said I reckon Adriaan Strauss is a damn good player and a busy one at that as well as being a more than adequate replacement for Bismark.
Chiliboy was outstanding last year, both for the Bulls and the Boks. Unlike Bismarck he is very strong on the ground making big steals or counter-rucking strongly. His body position is not upright like Bismarck thus he is far more effective as a carrier. He is highly dependable throwing into the lineout, is unflappable under pressure and does everything else as well as you could ask of him. He is an example of when I change my views on a player. I was strongly against him playing for the Boks. Things have changed. He is by far the best hooker in South Africa, and was right up there with Smith last year. Bismarck is a big fat red-faced joke wearing a spinal board.
well anyone with eyes would have seen how Strauss comprehensively outplayed chilli boy. The difference is work rate was vast.
To me Strauss was a worthy man of the match. He put up a huge performance in a loosing pack.
Sorry but chilli boy is nowhere near a Bok. End of story as the say in the "classics". He cannot be compared with Strauss as he is nowhere near that level.
By the way aristocat you should have harkened unto my pre match prediction that the bulle would win.

Yeah, I have also changed my opinion of Chilli in the last year or so. I never really liked him, but he has really come of age, as one of you mentioned. Bizmark is still number one in my book, but I say that cautiously, because Bizmark has too many brain farts and can often be a liability.

Ask Sean Fitzpatrick who the best hooker in the game is - case closed - unless of course you want to tell us that Sean like Lynagh on Jantjies know nothing about the players they rate or the credentials of a rugby player in general.
