As the All Blacks gear up for their 2025 Rugby Championship opener in Argentina, head coach Scott Robertson has confirmed the full 37-man squad, along with a specialized seven-man injury cover group, will make the trip to face Los Pumas. The squad will be tested in back-to-back clashes in Cordoba and Buenos Aires on August 16 and 23. Notably, key players including the Barrett brothers—Scott and Beauden—and forwards Tamaiti Williams and Wallace Sititi, have all been named in the lineup, much to the delight of New Zealand fans.

Despite recent injuries, the Barretts and their teammates are showing signs of robust recovery. Scott suffered an Achilles injury and Beauden a hand injury during their victorious series against France, but both are now poised for a strong return. Williams and Sititi, who missed the French series due to knee and ankle issues respectively, are also making promising progress. "So, all the ones, the 37 will travel actually," Robertson shared with the media, highlighting his plans to bring a fully equipped team, including the introduction of uncapped prop Tevita Mafileo for additional cover.

"They’re tracking niggly injuries and they’ve been extremely professional in tracking well."

Robertson expressed his satisfaction with the recovery trajectory of his players, particularly praising the resilience of Williams and Sititi. While Williams' participation in the second Test in Buenos Aires is still under careful observation, the inclusion of Mafileo as a potential front-row substitute showcases the depth and readiness of the squad. "He’s perfect for a touring party," Robertson remarked about Mafileo, acknowledging his versatility and dedication.

The readiness of the team's stars, especially the Barrett brothers, injects a robust confidence into the All Blacks' camp. Robertson provided a positive update on their condition: "He’s looking good. He’s done a lot of bench presses," he said of Scott Barrett, the team's captain. "He’s in good condition. It’s been a nice little pre-season for him really. He’s tracking well." Beauden is also reported to be in top form, ready to make his mark once again in the international arena. "Beauden’s good, (his) hand’s good, running and passing all the weights. He’s back and he’ll be ready for the Test One."

With the team's key players returning to full fitness and new talents ready to step up, the All Blacks look well-prepared to tackle the challenges that await in Argentina, stirring excitement and anticipation among rugby fans worldwide.
