In a display of sheer muscle and strategy, Paarl Boys’ High School (Boishaai) outplayed SACS in a gripping match that ended 32-16 in Boishaai's favor. The game, featuring a mix of tactical prowess and raw power, was just one of several standout fixtures in a weekend packed with thrilling school rugby action across South Africa.

The clash at Newlands saw Boishaai's forwards setting a formidable tone early on, bulldozing through the first 20 minutes to plant two tries on the board. Their initial score stemmed from a relentless maul deep in SACS territory, followed by a sharp break that sliced through the SACS defense for a second try. However, SACS wasn’t going down without a fight. Flyhalf Jake Dave turned the tide, at least momentarily, with a stellar individual effort, nailing two penalties and darting through for a dazzling run that cut the deficit, pushing SACS ahead 16-14 by halftime thanks to another of Dave's precise penalties.

The second half was a different story, dominated by Boishaai as they racked up two additional tries, sealing a commanding win.

"The boys showed great character, sticking to our game plan and executing when it counted,"

praised the Boishaai coach post-match.

Elsewhere, the rugby fields of Western Cape and beyond witnessed some high-scoring encounters. Paul Roos Gymnasium demolished Bishops 68-3, showcasing their dominance in the region. Michaelhouse delivered a crushing 53-17 victory over Pretoria Boys’ High, while Kingswood College made light work of Muir, posting a staggering 73-21 scoreline.

The Eastern Cape saw Grey High School embarrass Daniel Pienaar with a 94-5 thrashing, a testament to their overwhelming form this season. In the Free State, Diamantveld left no room for doubt, steamrolling Noord-Kaap 81-12 in a ruthless display of efficiency and skill.

As the dust settles on another weekend of schoolboy rugby, the performances not only speak to the talent permeating South Africa's young athletes but also hint at the fiercely competitive spirit driving these young men. With each game, they not only build their skills but also etch their schools' names into the annals of local sports lore.
