Gloucester Rugby has recently shared an encouraging update regarding Jack Singleton, the former England hooker, who is close to completing his rehabilitation from a cardiac event he suffered last year. After missing the entire 2025/26 PREM season, Singleton, aged 30, is on the brink of resuming full training.
Having transferred from Saracens to Gloucester in 2020, Singleton, amidst a temporary stint at Toulon in the Top 14, accumulated 75 caps for the Cherry and Whites across various competitions. His last international appearance for England was in 2022, coming off the bench during a match against Argentina. His most recent game for Gloucester was in the previous season’s PREM Rugby Cup, where he started in the victory over Exeter Chiefs.
The club stated, "Nearly a year following his cardiac incident during training, Jack Singleton is now in the crucial final stage of his rehab process. With comprehensive support from our medical team and several external specialists, Jack has diligently adhered to a thorough rehabilitation regimen, preparing him for a potential return to full training, pending the successful completion of this program."

While Singleton's contract with Gloucester will not extend into the 2026/27 season, the club has expressed its pride in standing by him through his recovery and looks forward to his future endeavors in the sport.
