What's the point of this?

Will we have an "Awesomeometer" or in Beandip's case a "Chumpometer" under our names to reflect our fellow posters opinions of our contributions?

 This could be handy to skip essays. If a long piece has a couple of likes, it might be worth a read. All we have to go on now is the ID of the poster, if there are at least a couple of likes, it might be worth it....right?
