It seems like the Springbok forwards have earned themselves a hefty supply of beer after another bone-crunching performance that helped clinch a nail-biter against Argentina in the Rugby Championship at Twickenham. Cobus Reinach, the nifty scrumhalf, was all praises for the meaty pack after he dotted down twice in their 29-27 victory. The win was a squeaker, with Argentina scoring in the dying moments to close the gap to a mere two points – a valiant but ultimately insufficient effort to topple the Boks.

Reinach, fresh from his move to the Stormers, reflected on the significance of stacking up back-to-back championships, a first for the team. "We haven’t ever won it back-to-back, so doing this showed a lot of character from the team," he noted, acknowledging the room for growth and the ongoing journey of improvement. "We’re still growing, there are still a lot of improvements to make but we’re slowly getting there. We’re building and building."

"It’s probably one of the best jobs in the world to play behind a pack like that. They do all the hard work and we’ll give them a lot of beer tonight."

Despite not delivering a Picasso of a rugby game, the Springboks' performance was anchored by their forwards, according to Reinach. The gritty win was a testament to the pack's relentless drive, which set the table for the backs to feast on Argentina’s defense.

The battle-hardened Pumas were no pushovers, having come off a heavy defeat in Durban. Reinach underscored the resilience of the Argentine squad, which kept hammering away until the final whistle. "You’re not just going to come out here and run over any team in the world anymore. We have to break teams down, and it takes some teams 50, 60, or 70 minutes and Argentina—credit to them—they’ve been unreal, they have a lot of dog in them and similar to us, they don’t stop and just keep fighting," Reinach observed.

With such a hard-fought victory, it's clear that the Springboks' road to glory is paved with grit, teamwork, and, apparently, a fair share of celebratory beers for the forward pack. As they continue to build on their success, the rugby world will be watching closely, pint in hand.
