Stephen Donald is all praises for Ruben Love's stint with the All Blacks, especially noting his resilience during the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour against the Springboks. Despite being replaced by Richie Mo’unga for the upcoming match in Baltimore, Donald believes Love has proven himself.
Speaking on The Aftermatch with Kirst and Beav, Donald expressed confidence in Love’s capabilities under pressure.
"The verdict is if you go to a World Cup tomorrow then you’re more than comfortable if Ruben is wearing the No 10 jersey,"he remarked, highlighting Love's potential to lead in critical games.
The conversation then shifted to consider Love's recent performances, where he stood strong in three consecutive tests against South Africa. Donald noted,
"That’s the complicated thing because we’ve brought back Mo’unga. But if we are looking specifically at Ruben Love, how’s he gone? I think he’s gone great considering he won’t have a greater examination."
