The Stormers are gearing up for a monumental clash against the Bulls this Saturday at Loftus Versfeld, bolstered by the return of several key players from the treatment room. As the Cape Town squad tries to claw their way back from a trio of defeats that saw them tumble from the top of the log, the timing couldn’t be better.

Stormers' coach John Dobson confirmed the comeback of stalwarts including Deon Fourie, Dan du Plessis, and Ruhan Nel, with a hopeful nod towards Seabelo Senatla’s potential appearance. “Deon Fourie, Dan du Plessis and Ruhan Nel will be available, and Seabelo Senatla might be back,” Dobson revealed. The reunion of Du Plessis and Nel in the midfield is particularly crucial, reminiscent of the dream start they propelled, winning the first eight matches of the season.

“It’s great having those guys available again, but you’ve got to manage it properly,”

Dobson said, hinting at the challenge of reintegrating players returning from lengthy layoffs, especially at the daunting Loftus fortress.

Neethling Fouché, the Stormers' tighthead prop, is pumped for the face-off against the Bulls’ formidable pack. “It’s not a tough game to get up for,” Fouché admitted, envisioning the gritty scrum battles ahead. “If you ask who wants to play against the Bulls at Loftus, you’d probably have 20,000 guys putting their hands up. It’s a massive privilege.”

Dobson also highlighted the brute strength the Bulls have displayed lately, demolishing competitors with their traditional power game.

“They’ve definitely gone back to a lot of that traditional Bulls power,”

he noted, wary of the host's recent rampages through their rivals, including the Lions and Sharks.

With the highveld’s altitude and an early kickoff adding to the day's challenges, Dobson acknowledged the tough conditions his team faces. “Loftus has space and pace, and you can’t just kick everything away there. It’s always a balancing act,” he explained, gearing up for a tactical showdown in Pretoria.

As the regular season winds down, with just six games to go post this rescheduled round-eight fixture, every match is critical for the Stormers' playoff ambitions. The return of their seasoned warriors just might be the spark needed to navigate through the tempest at Loftus Versfeld.
