Super XV log farce

In principle the highlandes should not ever be ranked higher than the Mighty Sstormers !!!!!!

I think the  only thing that makes sense is apply the rules. We have a higher points differential so should be higher.

Those squaking about the fact we have played only two games must realise in the end this all evens out. To have the highlanders ahead unnecessarily complicates things.

The Highlanders played 3 games and "earned" the points they have. The Stormers have only played 2 and received 4 of the points that they have, in the same way that any team "receives" 4 points for a bye.

Thought i was the only one that noticed.

Since  the beginning of time, teams with higher points diference are always rankned higher, no matter how many games have been played.

Wrong. SARugby, SuperXV and Rugby365 did not get it right. Go to the official SANZAR website. Thier rules, their application of it. This is where you can find the official log.

OK, so you got that right then. You checked on the official SANZAR site, as I suggested, and you noted that SANZAR have got the Highlanders above the Stormers and not the other way round as some people would have liked it to be. Now try the next step. Get the rules about how it is decided what the correct order should be and then decide. My guess is that SANZAR has decided how it should be decided, so I can see no reason why they would do it otherwise.

IMO it only makes sense that a team who has 12 points from three games and have earned those 12 points by playing should be placed above a team who has earned 8 points in two games and then received 4 points for a bye.
