Surely he'd have an opinion on all of this and be here sharing it.

Is it only me that thinks so?

Gathering data, Moz?

Beenz has been scarce for a while now...had a quick pop in a while ago, but very quiet in general.

To be fair, there are far more important things in life than Ruckersforum, US presidential elections, etc. I mostly come here to blow off a bit of steam and to have a quick chinwag.

Well it is the time of Covid and many of our posters are in the at risk age group so you'll have to excuse my nervousness.

PS Ruckers is paramount

What is so strange about a loud-mouthed Trumpanzee disappearing when his hero is about to become an official one-term failure?

Seriously.

Actually we have had a fabulous streak of November weather and I’m about to play golf for the sixth day in a row. So I haven’t been much interested in posting.

The election was better than I expected.....the Republicans picking up seats in the House and likely retaining the Senate has huge implications. It has clarified the country’s disinterest in socialism.

Trump has had a brilliant Presidency capped off with the ME agreements and the stellar performance of the US economy. But like Churchill after WW2  he wasn’t understood by the more naive part of the voting group. And he was shamelessly targeted by the media and the Swamp.

Winning the Rural and Suburban vote tells you traditional America was for Trump. And frankly he over performed the polls and my expectations.

Having said all that the first Debate was a missed opportunity, where he struck the wrong note and wasn’t as adroit as usual. Was he already feeling the effects of Covid?

Still it’s been a great, fascinating ride....Biden and Harris will be so dull. And the Dems have a hell of a problem with Harris. She is already their 2024 candidate and as we saw when Pence wiped the floor with her, she is a lightweight.

This could all turn out fine.

Nice Moz

I'm still not sold on the idea that this election was free of shenanigans.

Too many co-incidental anomalies and I guess we'll see what happens in court.

You're a numbers guy. Does what happened in some of those swing states make sense to you?

As I understand it, Trump got a higher percentage of mail in votes from California than he did in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Wisconsin.

Still, Trump should have spoken less during the start of the pandemic because the left were always going to use his words against him. Why give them more ammo when you know they're politicising the pandemic? He should have been brief, sympathetic and strong. Nothing else was necessary. Probably a mixture of ego and wanting to be too transparent while not having the political experience to understand the damage he was doing to his popularity.

Substantively, I maintain that his Covid response could not have been much better than than it was.

Unlike Churchill, Trump had to deal with legacy media, big tech and every celebrity on Earth playing on the public's naivety.

How long before Harris elbows sleepy Joe out of the seat? Two weeks?

Haha

Actually the phrase you want is ‘mail in’.....’in mail’ only applies to the Republican votes that were lost. But thanks for your contribution...nothing like a bit of gloating to add class to proceedings.
