The fight is finally here, and this is a tough one

Given that Canelo is the naturally bigger man, I am going to have to go with him on a decision win over the 12 rounds.

I can actually see Canelo stopping Bud, but that is some tall ask, especially given the fact that neither fighter has ever been down in their respective careers ......or in just under 800 combined rounds between them...... crazy.

Crawford going up basically 3 weight classes is huge..... and add to that another year of inactivity, and his advancing age of 38, then I would have to go Canelo by a 12 round majority decision win, or a late stoppage of Bud between 9 and 11.

Canelo hits hard, and if he catches Bud and/or works the body, it could be a long night.

But Bud is a master trap setter. That's why he's so clean. When you operate at the level you hardly ever get into brawls. Canelo, as good as he is, likes to punch himself out of trouble.

I think that's where the fight will happen. Is Bud able to put enough pressure on Canelo to start baiting him into punching himself out of situations?

Not just that, but actually have the power behind those punches to hurt Canelo at any point in the fight

Carrying your power up a few weight classes is not easy......

And there we have it.

Crawford is probably the best boxer of all time at this point.

I love that they asked Canelo who was better between Gayweather and Crawford, and he said, without a doubt, Crawford.

What did you think of the fight, DA?

For me, Canelo was doing Canelo things but Crawford was just better at everything. Some of those counters!!! How is anu human that fast. And to think, Crawford went up in weight for this one.

Right at the top of my pile, as it stands are Crawford and Calzaghe.

...but Loma is still my guy ;)

What a great fight

I didn't think Bud would be able to carry that power up, but boy did he surprise Canelo with some of those montrous counters....

There is a meme currently going around that was made from this fight, and it shows the look on Canelo's face after getting hit with a heavy left counter..... lol, it's hilarious..... Canelo has a stunned look on hs face saying ..... where the fuck did that just come from...

Canelo didn't even hesitate when asked that question about Mayweather...... and good on him.

Canelo was extremely gracious in defeat and said later on that he just could not figure Crawford out..... and that says so much, given Canelo's experience.

Bloody well done Bud.......

First undisputed fighter in 3 different divisions since the 4 belt era...... just wow.

Yeah man, Bud is a totally different animal.

He has all the countering and defence that Mayweather had but also an offence that matches any of the greats.

I was happy that he beat Spence into a pulp. But I'm also happy with the way this one turned out. Canelo was outclassed by a faster man but he never took a step back.

Big props to both of them. Quality guys, superb boxers and living legends.
