For once, i agree with you Dentsie.
I watched Warne bowl on three different continents and at many games.
People say it all the time, but when he had the ball in-hand, it always felt like a wicket was coming.
I’ve sat in the stands many times and been in total awe of how i, and the spectators around me, could feel the pressure that he was putting on the opposition. If you’ve ever watched him play live, then you probably know the feeling. He gets chucked the ball and suddenly the atmosphere in the ground changes.
His record aside, the influence the man had on the entire stadium was a true phenomenon. Something that he kept consistent throughout his career while others only briefly, and at their peak, ever managed.
We’ll always be in Australia’s debt for delivering to us the weird and chubby rebel that was Warne.
