Well yes I can believe it, at least he's consistent if you know what I mean. One would think that  playing Ireland presents a great opportunity to blood new players

Oh good, I see he’s giving Klaasen a decent  ‘run’.

A decent run after 5 failures in a row?     That take some real doing - since Boucher dropped him after the first three failures in the WI - preceded by two failures in Pakistan.    The man should not be in the squad.    Van der Dussen also was a failure in the WI and better get his house in order - but chances are 100% that in the T20 WC he will fail as well.

Denny

My team against ireland in the three ODI's would be  as followsd:-

1 De Kock.

1  Malan

3 Markram

4  Van der Dussen'

5  Verreynne

6    Mulder - I bet Boucher will bugger upo totally anyway,

7   Linde

8    Rabada

9    Maharaj

10   Nortje

11   Shamsi//Ngidi

Bavuma and  Miller were  huge failures in the WI and should not be in the  starting team at all.

A bit of irony Tart….try to see the light side of things. Obviously Klaasen has been disappointing.

Yet you wanted  him to replace De Kock in the team and  I assumed that you still held that view because you never said  anything to the contrary since then.   You have been anti-De Kock for 8 years now and you still attacked him about three weeks ago and never said anything about Klaasen's  failures before.  So what can one assume - other than you were serious in your above comments.

You ‘assumed’…so did the Quisling egged on by you. Show me the post where I have called for Klaasen to replace Ock in the last 2 years.

Don’t worry Michael Andile is in the squad. We’ll be good!

Mike

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Your team is ok but you and I know it's not going to happen. I read an article wherein Boucher spoke about David Miller being out of form and he's hoping he'll play himself into form against Ireland.......Cry me a river!

Before I forget, there's no way Quinton can occupy 2 spots in the same team can't blame your attempt to keep the useless out, these are desperate times......I've given up all hope.

I corrected the above  on De Kock.    As to Miller  - he is  32 years old and ahs gone backwards in batting.   In 2020 he was never used in the IPL and this year the same.   That shows that his batting is not what it used to be.   I think that Boucher is nuts to expect from him  at 32 years of age to recover into a useful player - that being the case here,

I think your team is shy of one more specialist batsman, I'm not sure who that could be.

You guys love picking sides with long tails and then you complain when we hit 300 instead of 350.

We cannot have 4 true tailenders in a team lacking batting confidence.

Stop complaining about selections when you demonstrably can't do better.

Markram

Verrynne

Malan

R Hendricks

Quintie

Mulder

Fortuin

Andile

Maharaj

Rabada

Nortje

Note: Fortuin for the left arm seam option. Worth more than an Ngidi type...much more.

Haha Moz

That copypaste of yours totally screwed up the other other thread.

I'll reply to Flash here.

Flash, Quintie is our best keeper batsman to date, if you exclude AB from the list.

Yes he has performed well in some series and he did carry the Proteas against the WI recently.

However, he has failed many too many times on a solid platform to be called a reliable player or to really make the move up and be talked about in the same breath as some of our recently retired stalwarts. The way Gilchrest is remembered for Waugh's Australian side.

He's also, a few performances aside, been very unreliable under pressure. There are many examples o f this. Recently, the Pakistan series come to mind.

I really hope that over the next five years of his prime we see him take his average up higher and become a rock in our middle order.

Let's remember that he was blooded in one of the most dominant Protea sides we've ever seen. From Smith and Amla to AB and Kallis...Quntie had ample experienced and great guys around him to learn from. My feeling is that, to date, he's kinda on par with and not really pushing out ahead of our expectations.

Perhaps he suffers from just that - our expectations. Six years ago most of us were thinking that we'd found our very own Gilchrest. That hasn't materialised yet, but he's just past halfway through his career so there is still time.

Must admit, I'd love to see him move his feet forward once a while hehe
