between the Sri Lanka and South Africa has to be admired, never ever have I had the pleasure of witnessing such an outpouring.

It started with a wry mile from Slinger Malinga after he tried to jam a good Yorker past QDK....QDK acknowledges  the attempt with a wry smile himself. A rare bit of good clean interaction between bowler and batsman. Fast  bowlers are not suppose to smile, they are more inclined to snarl and slag.

Walking off the field Faf and Quinton then hold back as a sign of respect for Kumar Sangakhara to lead off and then what a wonderful sight to see the Proteas and Tamil Tigers who had just vigorously competed against each other for a spot in the semi final in a CWC come out and hug each other and exchange pleasantries.

The SCG is becoming sacred turf to the Proteas...who will forget that it was at this very stadium where Smithy came out to bat after removing a plaster cast.....and who will ever forget the standing ovation he received from a knowledgeable Test cricket public.

These are not only feel good stories they are also the kind that create legends of the game.

Very nice post Denny. There have been a number instances at this WC where players have walked. And today Kohli engaged in a bit of friendly repartee before his early departure. Things seem a bit friendlier.

During the break they played some vintage audio of Sangakkara slagging off Pollie....who would have believed!! We have no idea of the war that's taking place around the strip in the middle. Tough characters them cricketers.
