0-0 after 23. Bafana Bafana looking a bit shaky but Canada haven't taken advantage.
Our boys look a bit panicky in possession. Cool heads needed today.
Come on Bafana Bafana!

Come on Bafana Bafana!
Half time 0-0.
Canada score in the 90th minute.
5 minutes of injury time almost up.
There's the final whistle. Hard luck Bafana Bafana. Just didn't have the technique I felt. Too many clumsy first touches.
Oh well . . . come on England!
Time to stop dreaming….can’t say I care much for this non diverse team. So much for rugby quotas.
Players aren't selectors ... shame on you.

For the first time, FIFA seeded this bracket so the top four seeds — France and Spain in the top half, Argentina and England in the bottom half — won’t meet until the semi-finals, assuming they won their groups. Which they did.
Sure and quotas in rugby were fine.
Back in the day i bet you cared plenty for our diverse rugby team.

Good one!
Well I rated Chester, JP, de Jongh, Adi, the Beast, Aplon, Habana, Paulse, Januarie, Skosan, Nyakane and a few others. I even saw the positives in Eddie Andrews. And I doubt de Jongh, Adi and Paulse had stronger supporters on the Board. I wrote a post once about the strategic advantage we had in small, fast players of color….realized with Kolbe and Arendse.
The decent thing to do Blob is apologize.
ouMoz, I'm talking about 'the bad ole days' ... as a reference see Denny's post ... All Blacks v AllWhiteysBokke

I was there at the southern end of the ground...
Segregation Era: During apartheid, non-white spectators were relegated to congested, uncovered areas at the southern end of the ground. Afrikaans broadcasters routinely referred to this section with "othering" terms as "the people behind the posts". [1, 2]
The "Cape Crusaders": As a form of political defiance and protest against the establishment, the South Stand became the home of passionate supporters who backed visiting touring teams—especially New Zealand. Even decades later, descendants of these fans, known colloquially as the "Cape Crusaders," maintain this strong allegiance to the All Blacks. [1, 2, 3, 5]
Re-Development: The original South Stand was demolished and the newer concrete Danie Craven Stand was inaugurated in the 1980s. [1, 2]
Desegregation: Racial barriers were officially dropped at Newlands in 1977, allowing supporters of all races to sit anywhere in the stadium, though the tradition of gathering in the South Stand persisted. [1]
Dissie tyd waarvan ek praat, you should apologise .
Btw. I cheered for the Boks that day... as I said earlier players aren't to blame for their shit governments. I read recently about the Iranian soccer team & the shit they have had to endure from their govt ... forced to attend govt. functions etc entirely to promote the despicable regime.
This was the Bafana Bafana team that won the African Nations Cup:
The Bafana team that won the African Nations Cup in 1996….30 years ago, our last international title.
T
The ABs are finding Dutch and German born players, we apparently have no interest in developing our own. Not the players’ fault, I agree, but there is strength in SA’s diversity. I can’t support a system that isn’t promoting that.
Hard luck Senegal.
Belgium were two goals down with 5 minutes of normal time remaining and scored twice to take the game into extra time, where they scored a late penalty to win 3-2.
Maybe not the best game of this WC so far but surely the most dramatic.
Oh and well done England . . . or should I say, well done Harry!
Be Sir Harry soon.
SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM ... FOOTBALL ... ARE WHITE PLAYERS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST WITH NOT ONE BEING SELECTED IN TEAM AT WORLD CUP ?
There is no credible evidence that white players are formally discriminated against in selection for the South Africa national soccer team or that there is a policy excluding them from the national team.
A few points provide context:
If you're referring to a specific tournament, such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup or the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and noting that no white players were selected, that fact by itself does not demonstrate discrimination. To establish discrimination, there would need to be evidence that qualified players were excluded because of their race rather than footballing reasons.
If you're interested, I can also summarize the arguments made by people who believe there is bias, alongside the arguments from those who disagree, so you can see both perspectives.
Believe what you have to Blob, there is no way of proving or disproving this. But the most compelling facts are South Africa’s best results came with a diverse team. And this Bafana team wasn’t exactly loaded with talent and leadership.
I'm not sure why Bafana received a hero's welcome back at the airport. Unless there's something wrong with my eyesight, they should have brought something back from the WC, and in my not-so-humble opinion, they walked away with nothing.
They won a game & made it to the next round
