blob, it's very important to the bible-bashers that atheism is seen as some kind of counter-religion to theirs.

Only a very stupid person would think that the lack of belief in one thing automatically means a belief in something else . . . but that seems to be the thinking here.

Oh, then why the need to advertise their non belief on busses?

Unlike many people on site I hate extremism and am in favor of a liberal approach on all issues - I believe in freedom of people to think what they believe in and tolerate everybody in that regard.  The massive dislike of things by people on site is abhorrent to me.     I have on occasion pleaded not to discuss religion on site since it brings out the worst in people.   When I  did comment on some threads I was looking at political angles some people bring out as being the result of religious believes.   It was normally unsustainable and unproven BS.

I am apparently one of only a few site members who really believe on a key element of DEMOCRACY - that is freedom of thinking for themselves and freedom of speech.    Both are under attack at present in the world and that worries me.

Ou Maaik, in your case it's not freedom of thinking, it's free of thinking.
