So Vance and 2 real estate agents failed to get an agreement with Iran.

“Iran has no plans for the next round of talks,” the source added.

The US vice president gave a short press conference on Sunday morning local time in Pakistan where he said the warring sides had failed to reach a peace agreement.

“We have been at it now for 21 hours, And we've had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians that's the good news,” he said.

“The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement and I think that's bad news for Iran, much more than it's bad news for the United States of America. So we go back to the United States, having not come to an agreement.

“We've made very clear what our red lines are what things we're willing to accommodate them on and what things we're not willing to accommodate them on, and we've made that as clear as we possibly could, and they have chosen not to accept our terms.”

No deal and I suppose it's no big surprise when you consider Bozo's team consists of his son-in-law and his real estate buddy who are up against hardened negotiators.

Apparently the two big sticking points are the no-nukes and opening the Straits . . . neither of which was an issue with the Obama deal that was on the table before the war started.

So Operation Epic Fail means that Bozo can't even get back to where they started and even if he could, he still has to either pay reparations or allow Iran to toll ships passing through the Straits.

This weaker position has cost him about a billion dollars a day, petrol prices are through the roof, he's alienated traditional allies and his approval rating is at an all time low.

So much winning!

So the ‘weak’ American negotiators never conceded on the ‘no nukes’ and ‘control of international waters’ points. Smart, experienced negotiators would what, have conceded those points?

I'm not privy to the negotiations but an experienced and tough negotiator might have offered something else in exchange.

Anyway, how is your war going? What has your hero achieved? Iran have had sanctions lifted, they're controlling the Straits and they now have a younger more radical leader from the exact same regime.

What has Bozo got out of it?

Apparently, Trump has just announced he will close the Strait. Military boats have started seizing control.

rump announced on April 11-12, 2026, via Truth Social that the US Navy will blockade the Strait of Hormuz to counter Iran's control and tolls on shipping, following failed peace talks in Islamabad. This escalates amid ongoing US-Iran conflict where Iran has mined and restricted the strait, disrupting about 20% of global oil shipments.

Announcement Context

Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to US and Israeli strikes starting late February 2026, laying mines and demanding transit fees for damages. Trump has issued repeated ultimatums with deadlines for reopening, often extended, threatening infrastructure like power plants and bridges. Recent talks collapsed over nuclear issues and strait access, prompting this blockade declaration as a pressure tactic.

Blockade Details

The US Navy will interdict vessels in international waters that paid Iranian tolls, denying safe passage. Operations include mine clearance (claiming Iran's mine-laying boats sunk) and neutralizing threats, with rules of engagement to respond forcefully to Iranian fire. Trump frames it as aiding global trade partners like China and Europe, criticizing their inaction.

Key Implications

  1. Oil Markets: Full closure could spike prices further; current disruptions already elevated them.
  2. Military Risks: Heightens US-Iran naval clashes in the narrow strait (21 miles wide).
  3. Global Trade: Forces rerouting tankers, raising costs; US pushes NATO involvement despite resistance.
  4. Ceasefire Fragility: Ties to demands for Iran's nuclear halt and sanctions relief, risking broader war.

The nuclear stuff was no doubt a major issue, but I expect there were many things discussed, such as trading Iranian oil in dollars, to protect America's interests. Possibally even allow America to steal Iranian oil - like they did with Venezuala.

Mozart has nothing. Any other Trumpanzees want to tell us what Bozo has achieved with his war?

It is very funny. Blockade of Venezuela, blockade of Cuba, and now blockade of Hormuz... It is only bad when others do it.

Iran shouldn’t be allowed to hold the global economy hostage by blocking the Strait of Hormuz and imposing tolls on ships traveling through international waterways. That’s pure blackmail.
