As far as I can remember McKinsey was one of he leading companies involved in State Capture and briberty and corruption that nearly destroyed the country.

It is no wonder that McKinsey is involved in potential illegal activities - it is par for the course in companies with political links to the Democrats in the USA.     The fact is the spider web of corruption in Washington is an absolute priority - but the FBI went AWOL in that regard and they themselves should be investigated for aiding and abetting bribery  and corruption in the USA.

Stop talking rubbish you old fool. McKinsey is the premier management consultant in the US serving many of the Fortune 500. As usual you are on a theme, and as usual you are clueless.

Great achievement of the firm to be named in the USA as a top  company - but involved in crooked activities in State Capture in SA.    With Bains being involved in crocking   SARS and McKinskey helping to destroy Eskom and Spoornet we are really proud to have them helping Zuma in destroying SA.   Both are banned from egtting any SA Government contracts in future and there has been requests to the US Government to ban them from getting Government contracts in the USA by Peter Hain - but that will obviously not be implemented by the Biden Regime.

Mc Kinsey generously offered to repay more than a R1,6 billion they "earned" in SA during evidence on Eskom in the SA Parliament following a grilling by the SA Parliament members - basically submitting a report not worth 1,6 billion cents in fact doing nothing other than appointing a crooked BEE SA company to help in destroying the SA economy or what is left of it.

By the way the owners of the BEE Company Trinians have been arrested for bribery and corruption - at least those who have not fled to Dubai like the Guptas.    Two of the 3 Gupta brothers are  in jail in Dubai - trying desperately to avoid extradition to SA - while a nephew of theirs in the USA has been questioned by the FBI about money-laundering in US Dollars  - but knowing the recent conduct of the FBI I am not surprised nothing came of IT.

Enjoy yourself - I can assure you the people in SA am not doing so.

The consultant appoints nobody ….management does that. If they failed to understand the corruption they were dealing with, they had a politically naive team on the job. That doesn’t mean they are corrupt.
As for your claim all they did was appoint a company,…nonsense again. The modus for these consultants is analysis and interviews. They would have done plenty of that.
So stop talking nonsense….the corrupt organization is the one you rushed to join, the ANC.

The Consultants made recommendations that supported bloody State Capture.   That was the problem in the cases of both Bains and McKinsey.   By the way Bains is closely linked to Senator Romney - he gets part of their earnings ona continuous basis in accordance with his separation agreement with the firm.

Even McKinsey realized their guilt in the matter - hence their offer to repay Eskom R1,6 billion for nothing usable to ensure improve management of Eskom .

Extremely weak assessment you came up with here.

Unlike you I am very familiar with McKinsey. There is no way a McKinsey team would produce no intellectual end product. What the client does with it is a different story. You should stop making ignorant claims.

I did a bit of research on this, and it seems Mckinsey have admitted some fault.

They have diversified their business model in recent years, which has significantly increased revenue- but it has taken them in a new direction. They said that they believe this has tarnished their brand despite vastly increasing revenue.

They have also worked with authoritarian regimes like China, and there are question marks if they should be working with certain governments who have bad intentions

Why did they repay the amount of R1,6 billion to Eskom if they were innocent in dealing with the issue?    They buggered up royally and that is a fact and was caught in the act doing the Zuma bidding.

I have no idea, but I guess they figured that once accused they had little chance of emerging unscathed regardless of the truth and so the magnanimous gesture was the best tactic and just a one time blip in the financials.

Very often in business it’s best to pay the piper and get on with life.

Whether you know McKinsey or not may be from the past - not the present   Many US companies have gone rogue in recent years in line with the example set by the Democrats.   One has to be aware of particularly McKinsey and Bains involvement in State Capture in South Africa.   Seems like  the French Police has been primed about McKinsey's involvement in unethical conduct and one will have to see how it ends.

By the way if McKinsey and Bains did not pay back the money paid to them they were bound to end up in a SA Court and ending up before the Constitutional Court with Zondo being the Chief Justice.   He does not like corruption as is evident from his State Capture report and that would have gone badly for both companies.     There would have been no "regardless of the truth" in that case because t he truth would have nailed them badly.

Maybe you should have a look at the following article on the issue:-

KPMG is still in trouble and not allowed to do any auditing work for any Government institutions.

And Arthur Anderson a company full of outstanding professionals was destroyed by the government just to score some political points. Which weakened auditing for the next 10 years.

Educated people don’t judge a firm with thousands of professionals based on the actions of a few, unless it’s culturally encouraged…..which is definitely not the case with McKinsey.

KPMG submitted false reports on audits they did and was punished for that.   McKinsey was up to their neck involved in corruption involving Zuma and he Guptas.   They did not even check  whether the contract they entered into with Eskom was legitimate/lawful and they took the R1,6 billion and the recommendations they made opened the way to further corruption in Eskom.

It almost seem that you support the unlawful actions of international companies in SA -  especially when they involve American companies - but for the amounts of money they were paid one would expect that the Company management would have been involved in the Eskom and SARS functioning.   SARS was operating on a highly efficient basis until Zuma's agent took over nad he used Bains to open the way for tax fraud and corruption.

In the latter regard I personally suffered after SARS employees stole R42 000 from my bank account by giving instructions to pay over the said amount to them for tax due - when in fact i owed them nothing.   The system used stem directly from the system Bains introduced in SARS.   Thousands of taxpayers suffered the same fate.

It does seem that American companies have gone increasingly rogue. They have all got this America first attitude- regardless of which political party is in power.
It seems that there is less competition in America with all the mergers and hostile takeovers, so the economy is getting more authoritarian. Like pigs at the trough.

Sure you cannot explain how ordinary people in SA because of the BS recommendations made by companies like McKinsey and Bains to benefit the corrupt practices of the institutions their so-called "reports" caused.    The majority of their employees and associates did not really know how they enhanced maladministration and management abuses of the institutions they tried to help - b ut that is no excuse or the BS they caused.

Sure I refuse to learn how to undermine the interest of suffering people of SA is good and proper.
