I am trying to watch tennis in the Niani Open and t has been interrupted by rain a number of times.   I woke up to watch the match between Alcaraz and Fritz and it was supposed to start hours ago and is still interrupted by rain.   Is this the rainy season in Miami.    From the internet info  march in Miami is relative dry and most of the rainfall occurs in the summer season, but this mat n an exception this year/

Riversdale is bloody cold for this time of the year and we have had a lot of rain and the season in fact is cold - have already had to switch to winter clothing.    Seems it might the global warming fanatics will  switch to what it was in the  1970's - forecast of the ice Age soon - after which they realized it was not going to happen - and then the forecasts were switched to global warming.    Life is really desperate when scientists are forced to switch their pre-determent  doomsday forecast like that.

Yes Maaik, it's been an exceptionally rainy and cold March up till now...I hope it's a good omen for a wet winter, we need it.

Cape Town manages it's water well, but the supply hasn't kept up on the sharp uptake in population...we simply can't keep up with the people streaming in from other parts of the country and world.

Draad

From  cold and wet weather in March - in Riversdale we had 120mm of rain in 3 days - the average rainfal per year is 407 mm - so we had more than  quarter of the annual rainfall in 3 days, what does that tell you about the upcoming winter season?

I think it has been proven in the past that a wet March is normally followed normally by the same trend in winter - namely a colder and wetter I am already stocking up in firewood  and preparing to curse Eskom on a daily basis for not been able to use the 4 air-conditioners in the house because of loadshedding.

I’m in Sarasota on the West Coast. I was only in Miami briefly for Art Miami. That city is on fire….the vibe is huge. And compared to the dying cities up north, awash with people at night.

The climate is a little milder in Sarasota, but still, after a very cold period around the turn of the year, it’s been mild.Few signs of the end of the world and I can still stroll to breakfast along the waterfront without getting my feet wet.

….and a school of huge dolphin are at play outside my window. Or maybe they are polar bears looking for ice?
