Bernie Sanders sums it up perfectly.

Another funny thread. No time though which is a pity. Liberals' disputes always betray how much they care about liberalism as they cautiously avoid attacking liberal behaviours.

I don't hate him, but I strongly dislike socialist policies...over taxation and free stuff to people who waste it...leads to corruption...look what it did to South Africa...and Mamdani went to school in Cape Town nogal.

It condenses so many things. Remember, peeps, liberals are stacking up forces that will drive them to get rid of hundred of millions of people.

Overtaxation is another topic, free stuff, people wasting resources etc

And it must be accepted that South Africa under the Apartheid was not corrupted. Corruption is an interesting topic as liberals make it a very confusing topic. Usually, they speak about something else when they claim to speak about corruption. It is very funny as liberals want people to think that South Africa was not a corrupted country under the Apartheid.

Usually, they try to explain the failures of certain countries by corruption. For example, South Africa would fail because of corruption (when what liberals call corruption is in fact a by product of the causes of failures, Kolsmankop is coming to South Africa and people are hoarding as much as possible)

Trump is very good as he brought many clear cut situations. He also already corrupted the institutional functions in the US and by republican standards, he is a corrupted man who uses his public position to strike private trade deals (and even more, embedding them in the public trade deals)

Liberals like gangs of criminal do not care about corruption, they care about people who benefit from corruption. Corruption is nothing bad when they benefit from them. It is bad when others benefit from corruption. And when the amount of money is checked, it shows that liberals have a very low tolerance threshold, usually, corruption numbers involving African leads are peanuts... Trump is already in for billions dollars.

And how is the over all picture looking Stav?

I'm interested to know how much socialism you believe in?

EG I'm 25 and don't wanna work.

Is government responsible for providing me a place to stay and money for food?

...or is government responsible for motivating me and helping me find a job?

...or is government responsible for all of it?

It's an honest question.

DeSantis has turned Florida into a retirement haven for the wealthiest Americans, allowing them to avoid taxes. States undercutting other states' tax rates is an anti-competitive practice.

A race to the bottom, where governments can set low tax rates to attract resources developed in higher tax places.

However, higher taxes for the rich are just treating the symptom, not solving the problem of an increasing wealth gap between the richest 1% and 2-5% and the rest.

Industries with low competition should have their companies broken up into multiple companies- especially if they acquired direct competitors in the past. Mergers that were never in the public interest- and merely a way to increase the shareholder profit of passive investors.

True investors are business experts who offer consulting strategy services, as well as money investment. The world needs these people; it does not need passive investors that add little value, other than waiting for the next merger to screw the long-term prospects of the economy.

.

More competition will drive up wages by making the economy an employee market.

Snark, taxes is an unfortunate necessary abomination and should be curbed as much as possible...smaller government fewer tax.

Actually Florida has never had a state income tax and the estate tax, which was just the Federal offset amount, effectively just a governmental transfer, was eliminated in 2004. So DeSantis never turned Florida into a haven, it was already.

As for competition, it’s hard to find an industry where there isn’t vigorous competition. People said Alphabet is a monopoly and then along came AI and ChatGTP and Deepseek.

You seem pretty comfortable with the filthy and disgustingly rich. There is no balance to your point.

Other people's money doesn't bother me...it shouldn't bother the government either. They should make sure there is a level playing field and a free market...interfering in the market leads to even greater inequality.

Liberals no longer distinguish between government's actions and personal actions. It is very funny.

It is very funny. Liberals' words are empty. They move their lips or their fingers or whatever to fill the vacuum. They mean nothing. The quotation means nothing, it makes no sense. Liberalism has killed politics. They have substituted politics with factionalism with each side blaming the other for doing the liberal thing. Liberals have reduced their speech to sloganish gibberish.

It is very funny because posters on this board mostly hail from South Africa, a leading country in terms of inequalities. So the current government has inherited many inequalities from the past. Yet liberals can still utter the kind of non sense... It is crazy... No, it is liberal.

Is that so? How it comes the various inequality indicators have gone down, not much but they have gone down...

There is nothing. Liberals only want to come on top, which means they are obsessed with maintaining the status quo. It is not about reducing inequalities, it is about ensuring the inequalities liberals have installed still remain working in their favour.

Based on the most recent data, the top 1% in New York are taxed at an average effective rate of approximately 27.3% in 2023, which enables them to contribute around 52.8% of the state’s total income tax revenue.

Concentration of wealth has worked its magic... 1% of the population, taxed at 23%, provides 53 per cent of the global figure.

It is very funny and so unchristian by the way. Liberals have managed to sell the idea that homogeneity of social conditions does not matter as long as a society is racially homogenous. It so contradicts the history of European countries. Many reasons liberals can not do with racism, this is one of them. They can only have segregation or apartheid... Liberal societies must have invariant points and permanent losers are one of this.

So Trump met with Mandani and they had riendly and smooth meeting on economic and housing issues. The fact is that all the radical issues were avoided and will remain so because New York dependends on Federal funding to survive.
