Maybe it's just me but as far as I'm concerned All Lives Matter and you shouldn't have to put a word like "Black" or "Brown" or "White" or "Christian" or "Muslim" or "Jewish" or "Young" or "Old" or anything in front of the word "Lives Matter". All Lives Matter and all lives matter equally.
However, if you do put any word other than "Black" in front of the words "Lives Matter" . . . as some Burnley Football Club fans did that you can read about here . . . then you're a racist who should be deeply ashamed of yourself and embarrassed by your actions.
If you click that link, just take a look at the words in that article used to describe a banner saying "White Lives Matter Burnley". You'll see words like "offensive", "embarrassed", "ashamed" and "absolutely disgusting". Now while I agree the timing wasn't very good and whoever organised that banner is obviously having a pop at the BLM movement that seems to be sweeping the planet, all this indignant hand-wringing outcry about the banner demonstrates once again just how many people there are out there who believe that only whites are capable of racism and saying Black Lives Matter is noble and honourable while saying White Lives Matter is racist and offensive.
I mean really!
I refer back to this thread where I put up a graph showing what it is that Black Lives Matter are protesting and I'll repost it here . . .
Yes, that might be out of date but as I said on that thread, I doubt very much it's changed significantly in the last 7 years and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that the same figures apply in any other multi-cultural city or country . . . black on black murders are the highest followed by whites on whites and blacks killing whites while whites killing blacks is by far the lowest number and statistically insignificant compared to black on black killings . . . yet it's this same number that the whole world seems to be collectively crapping itself about.
Not trying to condone cops killing anyone or murders of any sort, but this whole Black Lives Matter thing is absolutely and utterly delusional and so far out of context that it's ridiculous.
The one and only reason the George Floyd incident is such a big deal around the world is because of the very graphic and disturbing footage someone got of the incident. If it wasn't for the video and if the incident had been simply reported in the newspaper and/or TV news like so many other instances of police being heavy-handed (and vice versa where police are killed by criminals) then we'd all be fighting the real fight against the Coronavirus pandemic instead of spending so much time and effort on this ridiculous Black Lives Matter distraction.
I'm not saying Black Lives don't Matter, I'm saying All Lives Matter and stop all this hand-wringing and politically-correct posturing about a perceived injustice that is statistically barely relevant.
