That is putting the Democrats in the US and that put the Democrats in a very difficult positions. With one side of theiir mouths they say that the protests are related to the Covid 19 pandemic and has nothing to do with the dictatorship - while the other half said they support protests provided it remains peaceful.
But then they called the riots that near to destroy the inner cities in the USA last year "peaceful protests" so do they know the difference at all. Fact is any unrest and protests would undermine their beloved and much admired socialist dictatorship concept if the situation in Cuba turns bad and the dictatorship turns into oppression - you cn be sure the Democrats will blkame the demonstrators for the detrioration.
The Democrats love dictatorships where socialism can
be implemented without opposition. So Cuba and China are their real hero
countries, with Iran another of their favorites. . They are undermining the
Constitution of the USA as far as they dare to at present - so they use chaos
in cities and support of criminals where ever they can - as well as the open
border chaos with the hope that it would create a situation where they can
declare a state of emergency that they could use to introduce their much-admired
dictatorship. So any criticism of dictatorships by them is limited to Russia -
where socialism is not the core policy anymore.
The following from the BBC on this issue:-
Thousands of Cubans have joined the biggest protests for decades against the island's Communist government.
They marched in cities including the capital Havana, shouting, "Down with the dictatorship!".
In response, police used pepper spray and beat some of the demonstrators.
Cubans have been angered by the collapse of the economy, as well as by restrictions on civil liberties and the authorities' handling of the pandemic, with record infections in recent days.
The protesters were demanding a faster coronavirus vaccination programme
Last year, Cuba's state-controlled economy shrank by 11%, its worst decline in almost three decades, hit hard by the pandemic and US sanctions imposed by the Trump administration.
Thousands of pro-government supporters also took to the streets after the president went on television to urge them to defend the revolution - referring to the 1959 uprising which ushered in decades of Communist rule.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel said the protests were a provocation by mercenaries hired by the US to destabilise the country, and promised a "revolutionary response".
The top US diplomat for Latin America, Julie Chung, tweeted: "We are deeply concerned by 'calls to combat' in Cuba."
"We stand by the Cuban people's right for peaceful assembly. We call for calm and condemn any violence."
The latter statement would likely lead mean a reprimand by the State Department and the next action o0f China Joe would be to lift the Trump sanctions so as to help the dictatorship in Cu ba.
