In 2001 Eskom was praised worldwide as one of the best providers of Electricity in the world.

In 2007 the State-owned company fired most of the Whites in its employ and the number of people employed went up from 23 000 to 46 000 and the service collapse started.   By 2011 the Guptas was in full charge of Eskom through Zuma appointment of managers of Eskom and the country started suffering from electricity cuts in government terminology called load-shedding.

As from 2007 servicing of power plants vanished from sight.   Zuma's answer was to transfer the crooks that drove Spoornet to near to non-existence through bribery and corruption to manage Eskom.   The Guptas hand in Eskom was clear to see.

The situation deteriorated badly so now we are lucky to get electricity 14 hours a day - on some days it could be be 12 hours,   Half of the power plants are consistently breaking down and there are often clams of sabotage or obvious incompetence .

The coal transport sector has been mixing low grade coal and this has been messing up the boilers with its low-grade and incorrect sulphur content. The army has now been called in to guard the power stations and hopefully Coin Security continues their busts of these coal switching trucks.

The coal transport is at the center of the problem...train and conveyorbelts should be the only options...trucks are way too expensive and the extra load on the roads network is crippling our already shot infrastructure,  a further burden on the economy.

The train lines are being sabotaged.

Nov 8 a huge coal train bound for Richard's Bay was derailed near Ulundi. These lucrative coal contracts have a huge spin-off and Euro imports have increased 550% this year.

Anyone caught tampering or deliberately destroying Eskom infrastructure should be charged with treason, and nothing less.

It is incredible how much continuous damage has been done by it's own staff, as well as crime syndicates outside of Eskom.

This will only get worse.....

As everyone knows, it’s not just Eskom. We only know about Eskom because it affects everybody. Ultimately, everything has fallen victim to the Africans. They’re the lowest IQ group in the world. That may be genetic, cultural or due to malnutrition. Whatever the cause is, it needs to be remedied. Until black africans in SA raise their IQ by another 15 points, none of these problems will go away.
