The problem is politics is involved.   I think the problem was between the Federal Government under Robinson and the Australian Labor Party Government in the State of Victoria.    They  seemingly were not on the same side in this case and that resulted in some serious fumbling of the  case.

Whether the present Governing Party is happy with the outcome or not could impact on the Minister involved declaring Djokovic a persona-non-grata - a personal right the Minister has in terms of Aussie legislation.

We'll have to see what happens over the next two days or so whether Djokovic in fact is allowed to remain in Australia.   Politico's are funny animals - we will have to wait and see  what happens next.             .

‘Exactly. Also seems as if he tried to fool the authorities with a BS exemption. It's his choice not to get vaccinated just don't expect the Australian authorities to bend over to accommodate him.’

That from the Quisling. Seems he doesn’t understand how the Australian legal system works after sheltering there for decades.

LOL!

Turn the tables and I would suggest that if Lewis Hamilton was not vaccinated and wanted to race in the Australian GP would the same rules apply and most people will be very verbal and call it Racist and Bigots at large.

This whole pandemic has been politized beyond belief and no "one or two shoots" has been acclaimed as the answer as yet.

Flying blind with the politicians at the controls.

What is taking place in this case was best summed up my Murray as this situation is bad for tennis and the players concerned.

If you have laws directed at preventing the spread of the virus than leave no loopholes in the laws and lock the country down to all.

But the money generated by this tennis event highlights the selective applications applied by countries/politicians to fill the coffers irrespective of the laws.

Greed, power and stupid all in one.

Apparently there is still some risk that the Australian politicians may yet  ‘bend over backwards’ to deny Novak. That will be even a bigger mistake than the PM getting involved the first time in this matter….the judge has added back a bit of legitimacy to the actions of this cowboy regime. Oz should be grateful to him and let his ruling stand.

Biden and his wife went for supper in a very posh restaurant and the waiter asked for the order.   Jill said  she would like to have beef bourgnion .   So the waiter asked her  "your ve getable"?

So she answered - "He'll have the same".

Now if Biden was involved he will issue a new mandate  - lets hope Robinson does not have the same level of idiocy  the Vegetable has and accept the court ruling.   However, we do not know what will happen next.

Latest news - after he won his appeal about the  revoking of his visa.  Djokovic was according to his father re-arrested   by the Australian Police, but this was deneii d by the Aussie government.    and one can only guess what will  happens next.

In the meantime the New York Times went ballistic about the fact that Djokovic has not been vaccinated.

The vegetables are hard at work in this case it seems to me.       .

Just shows the lunacy attached to this pandemic.

China must be enjoying the acts.

Maaik, I think his re-arrest is fake news...I also heard the news, but couldn't verify it. Best I could verify was that the minister in charge will decide what to do next. He is legally entitled to deport anyone at his own discretion...

To be fair, he went along with the narrative presented in the media. I fell for it too...Scott Morrison as well it seems.

Draad to be fair - the Minister who musrt make the decision is in fact a lady by the name of Hawke  and one wonders whether she will be hawkish?

"The convicts aren’t following the science". LOL Mozart.

Kevin Petersen twittered Shane Warne on this video when Andrews said "there'll be no drinking in public without masks."

Haha, is he indeed suggesting that you can drink if you have a mask on.

Please explain how you drink a beer with a mask on...do you cut a hole in it.

What an idiot !

When you are a super sportsman, like Novak, and any individual that does NOT surcomb to every frailty of human screwups then you get pissed off...when blundering 'fing idiots start telling what to do...I can understand revolts and revolutions. Novak you're a man I can relate to...the diggers are descedents of men wanted from crime...a backfire of complexes.

COMMON JEALOUSY!

I am glad Beeno is not back yet.   He will have a new hero - not because of tennis  performance - but because Djokovic is an anti-vaxxer - probably the most famous of them all.

Any time we get a really talented sportsman who isn’t a woke cookie cutter type it’s a plus. As one article opined a few days ago the Joker is the most interesting player in tennis.

The latest cult hero for the anti-vaxxers. Although most of them are not healthy athletes that are bulletproof to Covid.

Breathing life into the anti vaxxers for no good purpose.

One would think the focus would be on the suits who are culpable  for yet  another  85000 case day deep down under. But no, the big threat is a tennis player who is a zero risk having had Covid…..just because he doesn’t march  with the woke army. The modern version of religious intolerance.

"The modern version of religious intolerance."

Precisely...they've become what they've supposedly been against...
