Cloudy there isn't one poster on here who would reject financial support if they were in a legal fight for their principles. There is no way Folau comes out of this financially enhanced, this is not a get rich quick scheme.

All I know is that rugby union in my country has been torn apart. And when you think about all the difficulties it faces competing against rugby league and AFL only then can one understand the damage to rugby in Australia. Funnily enough there was a time when Union was humming along, enjoyed a golden era but with the changing of the guard it fell from favour and that's normal but this Falau issue is toxic to the survival of the game.

Denny ....Australian rugby is the loser here, for sure. And it's easy to blame Folau.....he was off the reservation.
But it was handled in the usual intolerant way. The netball association showed the way by saying they don't agree with his wife's views, but respect her right to speak.
And it's monstrously hypocritical for Qantas to have a partnership with Qatar Airlines, while insisting on Folau's demise. If you want to be that Simon pure, you have to do it when it hurts as well.

I'm not blaming Folau. All I'm saying is that the issue has dragged Union apart. Rugby Union cannot afford being shredded while AFL and the NRL thrive. Unlike South Africa and New Zealand competing football sports is huge. Fo lau sans Union is a huge loss to the Waratahs and the Wallabies.
I'm not sure how you can say the issue was handled in the "usual intolerant" way, I believe Australia is a generally tolerant country and the fact that he was warned several times last year for the very same thing underscores the abundance of tolerance he was given.
The question is....do you obey the wishes of your employer, do you commit to their terms and conditions of your contract or do you persist in disobeying their wishes and conditions of employment by giving them the up yours.
The thing I struggle with is the involvement and advice of Folau's father. I also think the longer the issue drags on the more it hurts the game. Damn sad that this mess cannot be sorted out over the phone.

As for the hypocrisy of business ties between Qantas and Qatar airlines....well, let's see, there are business ties between the USA and China, between the USA and Russia and there are business ties between Israel and Egypt.......it doesn't stop.
