Rooitwit I followed the polling before the 2016. I saw clips that went into how these polls were done. The oversampling of demonrats etc. 

The RealClearpolitics aggregation of polls is full of hard left polls but even with them Trump is at a healthy just under 45%. So he could actually be at 55 % or even more.

I see many demonrats conceding he can't be beaten in 2020. The biggest concern are illegal alien votes and voter fraud by the demonrats.

The fake news polls were between 10 and 15% out.

Hence it is extremely unlikely Trump is polling below 50% Could be significantly higher. 

Hmmm . . . so which of these polls indicates the big spike in approval rating that Ceradunce was banging on about . . . or are you so stupid that you still haven't twigged what I'm asking for?

I don't know how to dumb it down any further. Your poll might say 45% and my poll says 42.3% which isn't that different. The difference is I can track my poll back for a few months and whatever the % is and whether you agree with it or not, it doesn't show any recent sudden increase. Ceradunce's post talks of a surge for Trump where his rating increased by 5 points. I'm just asking for a link so we can see that big surge for ourselves. The p oint is not about whether it's 40%, 50% or even 75% . . . it's the sudden increase that I'm interested in.

Polls do not win elections - votes do.   Fact is the polls in the USA are basically operated by the news media operators,   That is why the polls in 2015 was so wildly out.   They have a fixed list of people they use in surveys with premediated outcomes being normal.

They use polls to try and influence the electorate.    Let mee explain - in polls of left wing nedia houses there is an over-estimate of African American and Latino  polled people and a shortage of the majority of voters - White working class voters,  Fact is the polling institutions do not take that majority of the voters seriously and that is what was happening  in 2016 and is still the case today,

The other problem is that the DP is self-destructing - they have in their midst extreme leftists who cry louder than the  rest and is a danger sign for the majority of the voters - who are vary of socialists regimes.   and do not wish to go the way the socialists want to go.

There is a core group of about 40% who are socialist supporters - but that group is concentrated in -

*    California, New York, Chicago, Massachusetts, Maryland and  New Jersey,   

The above states went heavily for Clinton in 2016 - and is subject to media propaganda supporting a future socialist regime.   I doubt very much if that lot can win the election with the proposed mad spending the new Democratic policy would require,  They are going to be cut in pieces by the voters.

Incidentally the news media favourites are Harris and Warren.   Warren lied to enter University claiming American Indian descend and is going to be subjected to constant attacks on that score,   Harris is not going to make it either - her father is a Jamaican and her mother an Indian.  She is part of the extreme socialist regime.

We will have to see who comes out on top in the crowded Democratic candidate field, but my feeling is that the DP candidate will end up with a long list of negatives/labilities.  Definite socialists like Warren and Harris are not going to make the Grade.

Your erstwhile favourite Bete O'Rourke is going backwards in the polls and his chances of being a potential candidate is zero.

I stick to real situations and the present situation is that the DP is in a serious political  mess they would battle to get out of it.   There are two further reports that will embarrass them further coming out soon and that is going to land some people in jail - especially those the DNC used in 2016 to carry out their false propaganda about Russian involvement in the Trump campaign.   .

I would not quote polls as a norm at all - they are totally unreliable since they are totally unreliable as was proven in 2016.

I think that the Democrats are splitting into the left and center groups.   In the 2016 the liberals and a major component of the Republican Establishment voted for the candidate of the Liberal Party.   With the present Socialist and Open Border approach of the Democrats - a new candidate of the Liberal party will gain a lot of center Democrat votes - with most of the Republicans who voted Liberal in 2016 going back to their party roots.   They will be scared as hell about the Democratic Socialists calling the shots at present.
