There seems to have been a battle between China and India on the Himalaya border between the two countries and 20 Indian soldiers were killed.   China is a threat to every country bordering it and that is not going to improve in future.  Fact is they put more than 2 million Muslim in re-education camps - where thousands have already died,

That is the county iro which the Obama Administration said is no threat to the USA and signed a trade treaty with selling out US interests in the process,   Wonder how much China is spending on the Democrats aimed at undermining the USA.

Hasn’t SA joined BRIC as well? Or was going to join?

It's BRICS now, so yes, we joined years ago.

The enemy of your enemy is only a friend until one of you no longer has the same enemy.

Obviously a great platform from which to build lasting partnerships hahaha

India have had a tough time of it. Of all the big nations, it's them that I feel for the most. Generally peaceful people, culturally opposed to violence and such a rich, diverse and ancient culture. Also a great example of how a mass religion doesn't have to be affronted by the existence of other faiths.

The only difference between them and Pakistan...Islam. Same people, different faith and a totally different outlook. One place is a hotbed for terrorism and the other a top destination for people of all walks seeking spiritual awakening. One prides itself on getting a good deal while the other leans on divine permission to steal from and cheat the infidel.

The world has never been a peaceful place, and never will be. There's your dose of morosity for the day.

Differences drive divisions....if it wasn’t race or religion it would be secular beliefs, hair colour....the options are endless. We have never been able to embrace our diversity....mostly because cunning human beings harvest this diversity to sew dissension.

Case in point in the US where 150 year old wrongs are still being debated. Today we hear  the Aunt Jemima brand is being discontinued.....a 130 year old brand.....named after a person who  was a slave and became spokesperson for the Brand for decades.

Is that a great story or what? But it’s not enough PepsiCo says the brand’s roots in slavery can’t be overcome.

Barking mad!

Mozart

Have a look at the other item I addressed to you.   The problem I have is that the people are brainwashed beyond belief by the media and by the socialist wing of the Democratic Party,

The genie got out of the magical bottle and  there is no chance that it can be forced back in.. Years of propaganda had produced a generation of radical communists and those people are going to take over Government should the Democrats win in the election.

My belief is that diversity is a good thing. No one culture holds all the answers.

In a perfect world we would assimilate culturally unique positives into broader culture. At the same time, the worst parts of cultures have no business being propagated.

Punishment for blasphemy is one such bottom feeding meme that has zero right to make a comeback.

Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Seekism and even most new age spiritual nuttiness has been adapted  or was already suited to secular society. They can all co-exist peacefully.

Islam is the odd one out. It's aggressive and overly demanding of respect from outsiders, with dire consequences for those falling foul of it. Mostly, it's outright intolerant of anything/one in its path.

I'm intrigued by and interested in most belief systems.

One has to respect the discipline required to follow Islam. That's certainly a positive.

However, threaten my life when I draw a cartoon of your deity and I'll draw a line in the sand instead. Killing women for the crime of being raped, or a follower for apostasy...well that's just bloody evil. I can't see it any other way.
