Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his final report to Attorney General William Barr, marking the official end of the investigation — and with no further indictments on the way.

Although it is not yet known what is in the report, and it could still contain information damaging to the administration, the revelation that there will be no new indictments suggests that the Russia collusion theory is a bust.

Yet since the summer of 2016, there were countless pushers of the narrative that President Trump’s campaign had colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, specifically by conspiring with Russia to steal and distribute stolen emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

This included anonymous current and former officials and those in the media willing to publish their allegations, friends of those officials, Democrat members of Congress, those wanting to promote themselves, and of course, Clinton and her campaign officials.

Here are ten of the top promoters of the narrative:

    1. CNN — CNN first reported that President Trump was briefed on the “pee dossier,” which prompted BuzzFeed to publish the dossier in full. CNN has also given vast amounts of airtime to analysts, former officials, and Democrat lawmakers pushing the Russia collusion narrative. It has also published a number of stories that advanced the narrative, including several that turned out to be false.
    2. BuzzFeed — BuzzFeed first published the “pee dossier” in full — which released to the public unfounded accusations against President Trump, including the unverified claim that he hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed during a visit to Moscow in 2013. At the time of publish, the dossier remained “salacious and unverified,” in then-FBI Director James Comey’s own words.
    3. The Washington Post — The Washington Post was on the forefront of publishing anonymously-sourced stories suggesting collusion between Russia and Trump campaign officials. It published the intelligence leak that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn discussed sanctions with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak that led to his firing later. Flynn ended up pleading guilty to one count of lying. There were no collusion charges.
    4. The New York Times — The New York Times published a front-page, top-of-the-page story on Inauguration Day suggesting that President-elect Trump’s associates had been “wiretapped.” Though the report admitted, “It is not clear whether the intercepted communications had anything to do with Mr. Trump’s campaign, or Mr. Trump himself,” it set the very inauguration of President Trump as part of a Russian conspiracy.
    5. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) — Schiff, now the House Intelligence Committee chairman, has been the No. 1 pusher of the Russia collusion hoax in Congress. Absent any direct evidence of collusion, Schiff has argued for months that the evidence is “hiding in plain sight.” Schiff has also tried to fundraise off of the hoax.
    6. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) — Lieu has been a close second to Schiff’s promotion of the Russia hoax in Congress. He once called for a pause in the “entire Trump agenda” until an investigation into the collusion ties was completed.
    7. Benjamin Wittes — Wittes, a journalist who is close to former FBI Director James Comey, was a lead inciter on Twitter of the Russia hoax, infamously tweeting cannon gifs every time a new sensational report came out that advanced the Russia collusion narrative.
    8. Louise Mensch — Mensch, a former British parliamentarian, has become a household name among the anti-Trump resistance in the U.S., with her fantastical tweets about “sealed indictments” and grand juries.
    9. Hillary Clinton — Clinton, the day after losing the election to Trump, wanted to promote the idea that Comey’s reopening of the investigation into her emails and Russia led to her defeat, according to the book Shattered. “She wants to make sure all these narratives get spun the right way,” a Clinton ally told the book’s authors.
    10. Robby Mook — Mook was the first Clinton campaign official to go on record suggesting there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, during an ABC News interview at the Democratic National Convention in July 2016, shortly after stolen DNC emails were released.

This looks to me like a political plot that actually backfired and it was driven by some rather unsavory characters,   Fact is if there were any leaks - it came from the present specialists in using computer experts to get into any computer programmes worldwide,

The problem in the USA is that after helping the Communist to take over the Russian Government and being in cahoots with both Lenin and Stalin  - the end of  World War  2 - brought a new thread to the fore - the USSR (today Russia)   There were streams of movies coming out of Hollywwod based on the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the threat posed by the CSSR in the years between 1945 and 1985 and even though the threats diminished and ultimately vanished from sight by 2000 the movies continued,

Average US  residents have zero idea about what actually happened since the 1980's and are easily swayed by Hollywood movies and by media propaganda.   That was the case here - the Democrats had to find an excuse for losing the Presidency and the campaign started.    It was not to be expected that there would be any proof and  as easy as the campaign was started - so easy will it be discarded.

@Mike. It’s difficult to say how informed the “average” American is but, given how biased the MSM is, I think they are pretty well informed. Let me explain what I mean. The MSM has been full blast against Trump from the moment he announced his intention to run. Even Fox News was against him. Even now, since they seem to be backing them, there seems to be some within Fox who do not back him. Chris Wallace springs to mind. None of the other channels back him. It is the same with the newspapers. All of the major big newspapers are against him. Even within the Republican Party there are elements against him. Despite all of that, he still has at least fifty of the nation behind him. He, as a person, may not be all that attractive to many of them but what he is standing up for and what he is doing is carrying their favour. If all of that is happening despite the total lack of support from the MSM then, in my books, they have to be pretty damn well informed. My guess is that as soon as the contents of the Mueller report, and a few others sees the light of day, the left could be in for quite a hard ride. I, for one, was also quite pissed off over, among others, the composition of Mueller’s team but I just last night suddenly realised just how that factor must have punched the left right in the face. There is now no way they can snub the report. Mueller has in fact thrown everything there was at Trump. He had probably the most partisan and anti Trump team that he could get together. He had no single Trump sympathiser in his team and yet, they could apparently not come up with any collusion between Trump and the Russians. The irony of it all is that this hoax was as badly orchestrated as Hillary’s election campaign. The most disturbing thing about the whole saga is the fact that all of this would have been swept under the carpet, had Trump not won. The irony is that it is exactly because of the underhanded Dems and of the left and the MSM that Trump won the 2016 election. It was because the Dems rigged the primaries by shafting Bernie Sanders, that Trump was able to win. Bernie was the only one who had a chance of beating Trump. Hillary never had any chance giving how shit het campaign was run. It was down to the media that there was this illusion that she was the overwhelming favourite to win. Their, the media’s, blind bias in favour of Hillary and their blind hatred for the Republicans and Trump was the one big factor that eventually bit them. They spectacularly shot themselves in the foot. And they are busy doing it all over again right now.

When dealing with the Russian story the DP and the media thought that they have a winning chance because the Americans do not like the Russians.

However, I personally did not think Trump could win the election - but then we were bombarded by channels like the CNN, Al Jazeera  and Bloomberg - which is on the Multichoice service.  Foxnews is not  -  Russia 1 is,

I am pretty sure that the media thought they could pull a Clinton victory off,   Whether Bernie Sanders could win is another question mark.   He may have support in the States that Clinton won in the election - but I d not think he would have won in the States won by Trump.

The problem is that the liberals and leftist major support is concentrated  in New York, California, Chicago and in cities and towns in the New England States,  That concentration makes it difficult to win anything in US elections   In the past the DP got support in th4 Rust Belt States where factories were closing down to relocate to Mexico and  other foreign countries.    Like in Europe today it is the working class who felt threatened and they are not going to give up now and not support him.

Have you ever heard if a bloke called Colonel House. before - he sounds a lot like the [resent Soros to me.
