Found out from my Neighbour today that he trains with David Payne also told me that Glyn retired last week. Chad is back riding in Sydney, had a fall in the Golden Slipper and fortunately didn't suffer any serious injury.

Nice to hear from you. I saw on the Betway program that Glyn is occasionally riding again - and that Chad is riding as well. In the former case I was not really impressed by his performances. I saw Chad was riding in two races in the Sydney area and put R100 on the first of the two and walked away winning - the horse was 4/1 and was quite happy about the win. I then put R200 on him in the second race he was riding and that won too.
In one case a while ago a horse was written by Chad - the odds were 40/1 with the places paying over R10. I then put R30 on a place bet - but afterward I was hopping mad at myself for not putting on a winning bet as well - even R20 - he won the bloody race.
I am not sure but I think that two of Jeff's children - Jade and Zac - are also riding regularly in Sydney races and Jade won three races at one meeting last week.
Since the death of Joy Barendse I have phoned Kerry Roberts occasionally - but recently she did not answer her phone for some reason or another.
Jeff Lloyd went out on a high, there's an amazing story about him. Seriously hurt himself in a fall, swore to himself that after his recovery he'd take riding seriously which he did, went onto to win the Jockey's championship 3 years in a row.
