Again, if you think 61% is decent then you are mediocre at best.

Here are our stats since Rassie + Niena took over

2018 - 50%(14 test) W7 L7 (Lost to Wales x 2, Argentina, Eng x 2/4, Aus. Did beat NZ in NZ)

2019 -  83.33%(12 test) W10 L1 D1 (Lost to NZ + Draw) But played Japan x 2, Namibia, Italy and Canada. 4 of the games were tier 2 countries, but still the best result.

2020 - Chicken Out due to Covid, even though 18 of the bok players from the WC was playing in abroad and had games under there belt

2021 - 61.53% (13 Test) W8 L5 (Lost to Aus x2, NZ, Eng and Lions)

2022 - 61.5% (13 Test) W8 L5 (Lost to NZ, Aus, Fra, Ire and Wales) - If anything, we should never have lost to Wales, we imploded against NZ and were poor against Aus. Ireland and France were close but beatable. If anything, maybe should have lost only 3 games at max.

The WC year skews the numbers as there were a lot of tier 2 nations we played against.

But to be fair, the games we lost were within 7 points, only NZ beat us by 8 points but in that match we scored two tries late in the game as well as against Aus.

I expected at least 75% win ratio.

We only seem to hit the above 80% win record in the years that we won the World Cup, but our record is really poor.

Mallet and Meyer are the only coaches to get above 80% outside of WC winning years. But on average our coaches hit around 60%.

Divvy, Coetzee and even Jake had some terrible score. Streauli was one of the worst culprits and got away with low win ratios for 4 years.

I know we can get to 80% win ratio, we should have dominated rugby this year. Rassie better win every single game next year

Here is a break down of the other coaches successes

Coetzee

2017 - 53% (W7L4)

2016 - 33% (W4L8)

Meyer

2015 - 55% (W6L5)

2014 - 69% (W9L4)

2013 - 83% (W10L2)

2012 - 58% (W7L3D2)

Under Divvy between  (Should have been fired in 2010)

2011 - 51% (W5L4) - played 3 tier 2 teams

2010 - 56% (W8L6)

2009 - 67% (W8L4)

2008 - 69% (W9L4)

Under Jake

2007 - 82% (W14L3)

2006 - 42% (W5L7) - Our 2nd worse year.

2005 -  67% (W8L3D1)

2004 - 69% (W9L4)

De Strauli

2003  - 58% (W7L5)

2002 - 45% (W5L6)

2001 - 50% (W5L5)

2000 - 50% (W6L6)

Yes Plum I mean it 100% Kolisi is powerful and our best attacking forwards amongst those that start That would not be the case if Kwagga or Roos started

Straeuli coached in 2002 and 2003. 2000-2001 was Mallett, into Viljoen.

"Yes Plum I mean it 100%"

Ja Saf, I don't get that so many people have issue with Kolisi and DdA...I get that neither are classics in their positions,  but the game has become much more technical and these guys tick the important boxes....

We have a flanker playing like a center and a center doing the work of a flanker...hybrid players making it count every match....and then we have Willie playing 15, but popping up  as a 10 on attack...convention out-@- the window...let's k@k on Rassie!!!

Kolisi ticks no boxes. Damian is the most fundamentally flawed centre I have seen at any level of rugby. The game is actually less technical than it was. It's now about running fast at open space.

For Rooinek"

5 Jesus het geantwoord: “Dit verseker Ek jou: As iemand nie uit water en Gees gebore word nie, kan hy nie in die koninkryk van God kom nie. "

I know what it means. but I don't know what it means to Rudeneck... or why.
Sorry, I  don't like quoting scripture, for people not interested but somehow felt compelled... my apologies Rooinek, I won't ever again.

Kolisi is definitely an on field captain but in the modern game more reliance is placed on spreading the leadership

It is not possible for anyone to be a captain for people who do not accept that person as a captain.

SA rugby have nothing to tie people together. The team is fractured, shattered to the utmost.

No matter this quota player's capabilities, he remains a quota. And among the team and SA rugby supporters, while they state they would not oppose a quota captain, they happen to never have met a quota player worthy of being the SA rugby captain.

SA rugby rhyme with disunion.

Apparently, it takes too much to be admitted.
