On 20 December my car developed a serious heating problem and I tried to get it repaired - since it cannot be used without causing major engine damage.   So the workshop told me the spares shop are closed till 5 January and so are they - so no vehicle available till the second week in January.

On 23 December lightning struck the telephone pole nearest to my house and the wind and son electricity infrastructure was also effected.   So gone is my TV instillation - plugs in the house, two computers - the lot.

I am still trying to recover from the mishaps - but today managed to rebuild one of the computers and at least is not living in total isolation anymore.   Christmas was not merry at all - with all the BS I encountered.

When I eventually got one old TV back in use - I found that all the Rugby Programmes were taken up by the Springbok Saga.   Watch that and find out why with players like Matfield and co we will have no chance in the WC next year.   In 2010 and 2011 he was useless - in 2014 worse.

MIKE, Springbok Saga is a good watch, stop complaining,  you could have been stuck watching reruns of the last few days cricket! Start looking for the silver lining.

Haaahahahahaaa ... bad luck there, Mike. A bummer of a week for sure.

Sounds as though you live alone ... ?

Should get yourself a honey that you can chase around in the buff. Keep you "busy" till the 5th of January.

To think we still have to endure another month and a half before Super Rugby begins.

 Mike,

I hope you will in future treat the weather with a little more respect. I also had to learn it the hard way. So, when bad weather is approaching, switch off and pull the plug.

This may help to get an idea of what is coming your way.

Mike : tough luck mate but remember there is always someone worse off. Plus maybe the car broke down because you are being prevented from being part of a bad accident. Maybe your tv is broken because there was a program about the total dominance of the ABs over the hapless Boks , maybe Moz wrote the most annoying post ever & because you couldn't access the internet you ignored it
