....and the team enjoying advantage immediately launches an up and under. The ball is marked by the opposition. What happens next? Time for the Board refs to opine.

And here be the OOm's interpretation, just to get things rolling.

RE: Four simple tactical adjustments would lift the Boks
January 03, 2015, 03:33:49 Stupid - don't you understand when a mark is called following any kick being caught - a free kick is the outcome?

So the opposing team is not allowed to catch a high kick resulting from a penalty and he catcher is not allowed to  call a mark.   Dumbo - what is your suggestion as to what happens next?

I know what happens next, and so I'm sure does every other poster on this site.  Here's a recent example of tactical kicking under advantage:

"Nicolas Mas goes close. But then the ball is flashed out to the fly-half and, with the penalty advantage, it's chipped over to the right-hand corner where it's tapped back by Yoann Huget and full-back Brice Dulin dots down for a try!"

And here's another, which points out the return to the penalty mark after a failed tactical kick:

"14.3161 minutes - Keatley tries a cross-field kick to Conway, with the advantage being played . It’s out on the full, so Munster go back to Cardona’s mark and surge again!"

Slow thinker - in the case of the so-called penalty - no penalty kick was  in fact given or taken.   There was a penalty advantage being indicated by the referee and play went on.   In the one case the ball got passed back to the flyhalf and a cross kick is taken where the ball was flipped back and a second player scored a try.   Cross kicks are regularly tried - but the success rate is not very high.

Not surprising - since you apparently do not know the difference between a  penalty advantage being indicated by the referee and the actual awarding of the penalty.    Both the cases you gave relates to a penalty advantage - not the actual penalty.
What you were going on about is kicking an up-and-under as a penalty kick - the most stupid suggestion this genreration.

"1) When you get a penalty within 30 metres immediately land an up an under on the goal line....take the goal kick if it doesn't work."

Nice try OOM but as you can see it is very clear I am talking about playing advantage. I'll take your post as a white flag.

You cannot b that dumb.   " When you get a penalty within 30 metres immediately land an up an under on the goal line"
When is a penalty awarded - not when a penalty advantage is given by the referee by showing his hand sideways - but when a penalty is finally awarded by the referee.   What you said is when a penalty is in fact awarded the team thus get a penalty.   That is where you are seriously dumb - you did not say when a penalty advantage in indicated - you wrote that when you get a penalty.
Anyway to say that any team must take a high kick in such cases is ludicrous.   More tries are scored by other means in such circumstances than by kicking the ball away.
I take your post as a guided adission that you were talking KAK again.

The high kick is a variant of the cross kick which many teams use to try to get 7 points, when the maul is not working ....with 3 points available if it doesn't work. It is a smart tactic and one we should use in matches like Ireland where our maul was negated.
Unfortunately you were confused by the mark, which you thought ended advantage....stupid really.

You ere confused as to what you wrote.- what you originally wrote is not what you now claim to mean.   It took days to get clarification from you - but then what else can be expected from you.   If you clearly wrote what you proposed - the misunderstanding would never hve arisen.

BS   by the bucket load.  -   what did you write?    "When you get a penalty within 30 metres immediately land an up an under on the goal line"
Now suddenly it dawned on you that what you proposed is totally and disgusting;y stupid - and the new explanation  given by you is   " I am talking about playing advantage".
Why did you not say that originally and had to be forced to say that now.   You stupid idiot - getting a penalty advantage indication is not the same as getting a penalty.   A penalty advantage indication will lead to getting  a penalty only if the side does not get a material advantage from the follow-up play - dolt.
All kinds of snake action to get out of the hole you dug for yourself will not help in this case.

Yep one normally doesn't have to explain that a tactical kick or drop kick after a penalty are done with the knowledge that a penalty will follow if they dont result in advantage. In your case apparently one has to draw you a picture.....which is what I did when I said..." take the goal kick if it doesn't work"

But not idiot proof enough for the moronic OOm.

You dump fool - you get a penalty when a penalty has been awarded - not before and when you wrote that the idiocy shown clearly in this case.     Like per normal you have such a deluded idea about rugby that anything moronic on your part is an absolute certainty.
Bugger off - moron - you simpleton.

It's a snarling  septuagenarian today ....bwaaaaha hahaha. Look throw as many insults as you like old chap...." take the goal kick if it doesn't work"  makes the meaning perfectly plain to rugby fans. Just another contrarian rant gone wrong.

I've found the problem. Michael's match-day glasses appear to be coke bottle lenses.
