im getting into the late 20s, but my dad was a rugby and boxing lover and use to own a small book store which mum said was an excuse for him to get all the rugby and boxing books he could. so i grew up reading a lot about the All Blacks and the stories about colin mead from bot the books and my old man always had my attention. i think McCaw will be reagreded the same way in many years to come.
i met meads at a function in southland where he was a guest speaker and the dude was a gentlemen with that country dry senes of humour where he can crack people up with out even trying too.
other fave players of mine was lome faatau hurricanes legend and rupeni cacauinbaka blues legend and casy laulala who was another very underated player in the All Black system..
im not surprised to see ur a fan of fitzy, were alike in the fact that while we both love our teams, we have a healthy respect for Boks/All Blacks, :o)

FItzpatrick came to SOuth Africa after he retired and people got to know him off the pitch. Lots of Kiwi's came to SA and played rugby for Clubs in Natal. Just look at Spencer who do not want to go back to NZ him loving it here. Lots of Kiwi coaches making ends meat here. Also the SA rugby team always invite the opposition into their changing room to have a beer after the match. Wayne Smith said one year it gave them a general insight on how SA value thier sport after they lost the 3 tests in 2009. They went and used similiar methods and beat us the next year

Spooony, not sure why I am replying to your post, it certainly does not deserve the effort, but anyway. The general public had nothing to do with Oscar getting bail, that decision was made by a judge based on arguments given by his legal team. Also, the investigating officer screwed up the evidence, so it gave Oscar's sneaky lawyer all the reasons he needed to poo poo the state's feeble attempt to deny him bail. Check the facts before talking, unless you like the taste of your foot! Not sure where Small comes into the argument, but just to illustrate how much of a putz you are, I rate Small as one of the best South African wingers!!

Spoony I saw your post telling us you were recently banned from a forum by bulle mods on trumped up charges.
I had a similar experience and was banned four times and reinstated 3 times on a rugby website. That board had three bulle mods and they must have had a say in what happened. I am sure it would have been different if there had been a few WP mods.
However one must not paint all with one brush. The bulle guys here are top notch folk so dont think they are like those guys who banned you so unjustly. I also know bulle fans elsewhere who are first rate with great senses of humour etc.
However as a good WP fans our function is to help bulle fans see the light.
