Wee quiz for you chaps and chappettes ,easy one to kick-off . 1-'le Panthoire Noir' 2-Played 2 tests was killed in a club game in Australia. 3-Always to the 'point' this feller. 4-Name 4 test players born in Tokoroa . 5-With help from Kevin Skinner dangled commentator Winston McCarthy over the side of a ship because of his incessant talking ! 6-Has a play written about him. 7-Had an underarm problem in Australia 8-This chap left his homeland and within a year was an AB .He then returned to the land of his birth to coach its national team. 9-Unwittingly told all of NZ he "was bug.gered " in a post match radio interview .People were easily shocked back then ! 10-Played for the sharks . Cheers !

The NZ Cavalier who played for Natal was indeed Murray Mexted but that was before they were known as the Sharks.

It was Natal in those days...and Banana Boys was their nick back then. In their centenary year in 1990 or 1991, they made a huge effort of building their team to win the Currie Cup. Without Google,  they either won that year or the next, but they counted as one of our better provincial teams ever since. Regardless of previous form, Natal produced great players before and after the big turnarounds and played in atleast one CC final prior to the 90's. Although they have rained on WP's parade too often in the last 25 years, they are still my favorite team after WP.
