With a view to a fast paced game  the sharks have picked pacy loose forwards and moved Alberts to lock. A clear eindication that they plan to nullify the Reds back and do some running themsleves.

This doesnt sound like its going to be a conservative safety first approach? Mishalak could b ea match winner. This guy knows how to control a game - shrewed operator.

Grea to see the pacy Jordaan at 13.

Go Sharkies!!!

Willem Alberts has been included in the Sharks’ starting line-up at No 4 instead of in the back row.

Sharks coach John Plumtree has decided that there is no room in the back row for the Springbok blindside. The combination of Keegan Daniel, Marcell Coetzee and Ryan Kankowski is retained, and Alberts is selected at lock.

Bismarck du Plessis makes his return to the starting team after playing from the bench in the Sharks’ final league game. Other changes see Louis Ludik starting at fullback in place of the injured Pat Lambie, and Paul Jordaan partnering Tim Whitehead in midfield.

Sharks – 15 Louis Ludik, 14 JP Pietersen, 13 Paul Jordaan, 12 Tim Whitehead, 11 Lwazi Mvovo, 10 Frederic Michalak, 9 Charl McLeod, 8 Ryan Kankowski, 7 Marcell Coetzee, 6 Keegan Daniel (c), 5 Anton Bresler, 4 Willem Alberts, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Tendai Mtawarira.
Subs: 16 Craig Burden, 17 Wiehahn Herbst, 18 Steven Sykes, 19 Jacques Botes, 20 Cobus Reinhach, 21 Meyer Bosman, 22 Odwa Ndungane

Nice bench as well. The sharks better believe they can win this one. Shake up Genia - legally of course.

Sharks need to move a pacy loose forward to inside center :) Whitehead can only outrun tight five apparently

how i would not have loved to see a franna steyn in that backline....oh well

i knew old plums wont go soft just for the sake of playing a knock out game. stick to what you know and what you good at. the sharks playing pattern is superior so if we put on the phases the reds wall wil crack. with the zulu express mvovo and jp peterson on the wings why not run the aussies to all corners of the pitch. non of your conservative "stormers leaf" hey beeno :)

i really would have love a alberts coetzee kankowski backrow but we will see how this pairing goes. some decent rugby is to be expected on the weekend.
