All Blacks Sevens win 2012/2013 HSBC Sevens World Series

It caps off a remarkable season for the team, and continues the record of both Gordon Tietjens and his troops throughout the years of amazing competitiveness despite the growing power of most nations.

The latter is due to the Olympics, and while the All Blacks Sevens have won only one overall leg this year (Glasgow and London notwithstanding), they have been the most consistent team by some margin.

Their series win was sealed with a 42-10 win over Argentina in the quarter-final stage.

The team had a 32 point series advantage going into Scotland, and needed to secure at least 13 points to take the overall crown.

They will earn at least 15 points, and that is assuming they lose their semi-final against Wales.

England, Portugal and Scotland were accounted for in the All Blacks Sevens pool stages.

So far they have been the form team at Glasgow, with their four matches so far having the combined scoreline of 141-15, fitting considering they are now the champions, regardless of the final outcome of not only this leg, but London.

congrats boys, thanks for all ur harde work in securing another 7s title for NZ helping cementing NZs legacy as rugbys undisputed powerhouse, :o)

while it would be nice to win another leg to go with the SA title we won, i think we need to use the remaining games to give all our youngsters a crack and develop, rios not that far away and securing gold is prob the most important thing in rugby after the RWC.
