My Missus who is an expert in the field told me the average number of attempts is 7 .And thats exactly how many I had till I finally quit in 2011 using 'Champix " .Champix gave me the weirdest dreams you can imagine but it worked .Now I have had dreams were I killed someone but felt more guilt about having a smoke in the dream!Kudos to anyone who quits .

Quitting any addiction is hell.  People who do should be commended for the endeavour.
Some people are more easily addicted to substance than others and those people are also the ones who struggle most to quit.
Make sure you teach your kids that the easiest way to quit is to never start!
You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh
And know they love you.And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.
