 Nice sentimental choice Matey,  but I'm afraid Phil doesn't have the stamina to live on the edge for 4 days on greens like glass. Think Tom Watson at the British Open a few years back, needing only a 4 on the last hole, his excellent iron shot cruelly bounced through the green...and he imploded. Too many miles, too much career tension for these chaps steaming past 45.

 Apart from the obvious choices of Spieth, McIlroy and Day I'd throw Bubba and Stenson into the mix. It's anyone guess......oops what say our very own Louis?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Rickie Fowler take it either. He's due for a big one.
Speaking of Phil - I've only seen one PGA event in person but he was there and besides the fact that the crowds followed him everywhere, he strikes an unmistakable figure on the course with his loping stride that seems to engulf six feet of turf with every step. the seemingly constant casual grin on his face and frequent tipping of the hat to the crowd. 
You can see why he's so popular.

Phil has always been great with the fans, and his brand of risk taking, reward and disaster golf is so much more appealing than the chartered accountant efforts of so many players.

 They should play on my local course ,it has bull sharks in the water hazard ! Some are over 3m long .Not to many peeps diving for balls in there ,else they could end up needing replacement balls !

 Jason had a bad Day, if you going to choke it's probably better to have it in the first round. Honours goes to Jordan though ....the kid is simply superb.

 If you look at Ern's first putt on the clip, you can see the issue. It's a short left to right putt, on a very fast green. As Ernie's putter moves forward he decides two things, firstly that he is going to miss left, and secondly that the putt is going to be way strong. So he opens his putter face and decelerates. And because of the decel, the putt still misses left.
It's not so much a yip, where the putter head twists left with an involuntary muscle twitch...as a calamitous decel. You will probably also find Ern is either lined up left or his brain thinks he is lined up left.....that weak open push is very characteristic of that issue. I know because I was diagnosed with the same issue a year ago.....line up more to the right and putt down the line, is the cure.

Dude needs to look on the bright side. 3 masters - 2nd, 1st, 2nd. that's passable.

 A classical mistake though....what was his caddie thinking. In his book Nicklaus says he never aims right of the bunker....the water lengthens on the right. So if you hit your shot the length you intended and shove it 30 feet right it's Aqua.
