 Great game....those three situations where an Indian toe was over the line were fatal. Once by Kholi trying to pull off an impossible catch...once by Ashwin  on a no ball, and once by Pandya on a no ball....and scarily that was "caught'" by Ashwin. It all seemed "written" as they said in Lawrence of Arabia.

What wonderful knocks by Russell. And Kholi again.

It's a pity India won't be in the final, it will reduce the vibe....but the WI deserve their place. I only hope the final is as much fun. Good call Denny.

 I mourn the loss of the great West Indian test and one day powerhouse of the 80s .I have seen Clive Lloyds boys play some of the best cricket ever seen .A few modern day reputations especially the batsmen would have been shattered under that relentless pace attack ,who can forget the sight of Kim Hughes reduced to tears ?Apparently Clive Lloyd and his boys were staggering across the Sydney harbour bridge when they pulled up for a p!ss .Clive says 'Mon its a long way to the water ,feels cold too !" and Viv Richards chimes in with " not only that ,its deep as well !"My oldest boy still has a signed bat a wee lass I worked with in Adelaide arranged for us ,she was Desmond Haynes port of call as it were ....he used to dock with her whenever in Adelaide !

 Fonny mon. We used to employ a chappie  from Jamaica. He still stops by at Christmas time to pick up his present and bring me a bottle of Winkarnis Tonic wine....was a very good boxer, loves cricket ...a good man all round.

 I taught a young bloke from Kingston to shear ,he had never even seen a sheep before he started working with us as a roust-a-bout.Dude had me in stitches with that marvellous accent and sense of humour .Is that a spiced wine ? If so would go down well in a Chicago December !

 It has some malt and spices. I can remember radio ads for Winkarnis when I was still a boy, but never tried it till I got the gift at Christmas. It's actually quite pleasant as a change of pace.

 Cricket needs Calypso cricket....it's refreshing and brings in the crowds.
Wardad, the tragic of cricket is that the great Windies never played the great Proteas. It is something I still struggle to come to terms with.
