Because of uncertainty and contrary comments by the normal drama queens on site - I phoned SARU this morning to get confirmation as to the new Head Coach of the Springboks.

The discussion was clear on the following points:-

*   Erasmus was appointed as Director of Rugby and not as Head Coach of the  Springboks

*   Erasmus felt that appointment of a Head Coach would have detrimental effects on the development of the squad needed before the WC and that he consequently concentrated on coaching during the period since his appointment and up to completion of the World Cup series

*   That the appointment of the Head Coach will be done in roundabout February since there are detailed negotiations  to be dealt with and agreement reached before an announcement can be made.

*   That the post of Head Coach will not be advertised

*   That Erasmus will himself decide on the filling of the post - but SARU will announce the decision on the appointment.

If anyone wants to check out the above they are welcome to phone SARU at the following number -   +27 (0) 21 9287000.

I hope the issue muddied by some members are now cleared up.

Just to add - if it is an internal appointment of say Nienaber - the replacement of the internal appointee will also be dealt with simultaneously by Erasmus on the same basis.

Why no comments from the major shit stirrers who attacked the statements made by me endlessly?    My challenge to them is phone SARU if they do not believe the above - the phone number is provided for that purpose.

I mention the term "drama queens" above and why some site members are drama queens -

a) Want to seek attention b) Have some emotional dysfunction and it's their duty to make life harder for everyone around them c) Just simply can't get over it d) Extremely miserable and insecure e) All of the above Drama queens can't keep

What I don't like is that whenever we build some momentum the coach leaves. Eg Jake and Rassie.

The clown PDV followed Jake. Hopefully we will not get another PDV but Rassie not coaching the side is bad news.

Beeno

The situation is vastly different from what it was in the past.   The post of  SARU Director of Rugby was established in 2012 and Erasmus was appointed to the post,   Although the Head Coach was organizationally under the control of the Director of Rugby - SARU independently appointed the Head Coach and his whole assistance set-up.

It was not clear what the relationship between Erasmus and Meyer was - but what is evident that there was a vast difference between the rugby planning approach  of what Erasmus strived for and what Meyer did.  Another stumbling block most likely was the selection strategy of  Meyer.   Be it as it may Erasmus did not sit in the coaching area at tests used by Meyer and it was clear that his input in coaching and team selection was minimal when Meyer was the Head Coach.

When Meyer was kicked out effectively at the end of 2015 and Coetzee was appointed as coach Erasmus offered to work closely together with Coetzee to deal with development and coaching issues, Coetzee turned down the offer flatly and that is when Erasmus saw disaster looming and took up the job with Munster.   Nienaber and others left together with him and the foreseen disaster did happen.

The 2019 situation is vastly different,   Erasmus has declared clearly that he will have a much more hands-on approach as Director of Rugby in respect of planning and development of the team from a coaching perspective and since he is making decisions as to  appointment of all coaching staff himself - the breakdown situation between 2012 and 2017 will not recur.  You can be sure that the new Head Coach will be selected on his ability to work together with Erasmus as to game planning and team selection and the system will work well.  The Head coach will in effect deal with day to day training and organizational functions attached to coaching - like arranging workshops and training camps, while Erasmus and him will deal with issues pertaining to tests and team selection jointly.

Muck spoke to a person called Saru this morning. The only thing that rings true is that Mr Saru  will announce the Head Coach.....mostly because while Eraser will no doubt make a recommendation, Mr Saru and his colleagues will make the appointment.

Rassie Erasmus' Marvelous Backroom Boys:

........ Mzwandile Stick - specialist skills

Having played provincial rugby for Eastern Province mainly as a fullback, Stick made his name in the international arena as a sevens specialist.

He captained the Springbok sevens team to their first World Sevens Series title in the 2008-09 season and was famous for kicking a number of crucial drop goals for the Blitzboks.

He started coaching in 2013 with Eastern Province junior teams in Port Elizabeth and was soon promoted to an assistant coach with the Southern Kings in Super Rugby.

Stick was granted his first coaching opportunity with the Springboks in 2016 as part of Allister Coetzee’s management team and was then moved to the South Africa U20 side as an assistant coach in 2017.

After Erasmus’s appointment as South Africa coach early in 2018, Stick returned to the national team as a specialist skills coach, with a special emphasis on fielding the high ball and off-the-ball skills. He also works closely with the backs.

......
Stranger things have happened.

Stick to the point. Where are the links to the reports to your dozen reporters’ articles that you’ve been bragging about? There are none and now you want me to make a phone call from the UK to verify your story. Once again, you are making the assertion but you want someone also to prove or disprove it. You are some piece of work. You can, of course, solve this whole conundrum by answering yes or no to one simple question. Were you bullshitting about the dozen reporters? Bear in mind, though, that should the answer be “no” then you’ll have to be prepared to provide the evidence. What say you? Up for it?

I am still saying, and have been from my first post on this thread, that you are and have been talking kak about the dozen reporters. I am not interested in your supposed phone call to whoever at SARU and I am most certainly not going to waste and international call from the UK to some switchboard in SA, who probably have me on hold for hours.

I am only interested in one thing. Where you bullshitting about the dozen reporters, “yes” or “no”? If you have been bullshitting then just say so and I’ll accept it. It is par for the course in any way. If have not been bullshitting, then give as a few links. It’s only fair, isn’t it?

After all, if it was me, I would have provided the links right there and then when I mentioned it the first time and I would have prevented any of this back and forth we are having now. In addition it would, at first, have eliminated any doubt of what I was trying to say. Secondly it would have prevented clowns like you having a pop at me for bullshitting........ again. Lastly it would have prevented me from having to phone SARU to back up my assertion to get me out of my predicament.

Ole Cruz for Head coach,  Bosman's mother for conditioning coach, Plumboom (the guy NZ apparently doesn't want although Muck thought he was right for the Boks) as forwards coach, and du Preez( the guy that was going to do so much better than Jake) as forwards coach.

All of course appointed by Eraser.

Dimmest f#ck on earth - you do not even understand English,  First of all - I did not really looked for articles and decided to contact SARU and asked them what the opposition is,   The idiocy of Mozart and you in your first attack on Venter about what he wrote in the past and secondly an implication that he was writing BS about the filling of the Head Coach job,

There were a number of newspaper articles on the issue of appointment of the Head Coach - bui since articles are not always factual - like your brilliant display of total ignorance based on a newspaper report when it was stated that Erasmus had a contract as Director of Rugby and not Head Coach - it is better to check at source what the real situation is.

So I did that - and when Mozart continued with his BS I advised him to do the same - and you also - but your brain cell is malfunctioning as per normal.   It is a perfect indication that you  -

  a) Want to seek attention b) Have some emotional dysfunction and it's their duty to make life harder for everyone around them c) Just simply can't get over it d) Extremely miserable and insecure

Well I guess Erasmus clears this up:

......

Now, with Erasmus changing roles a new head coach needs to be appointed.

But the mastermind behind the World Cup triumph in Japan insists he will not be lost to the most popular national team in the republic.

"I will be heavily involved whatever way we are going to go with the head coach," he stressed to AFP.

....

He will be heavily involved.....but not the person who selects the new head coach. Sounds like a recommendation to SARU and some hand holding until the new coach can fly solo.

Phone SARU if you want to find out whether or not your brain is fucked up totally in this case or not.  I asked them clearly who will identify and selec t the new Head Coach and they confirm that it will be Erasmus and nobody else.

But then the following apply to you in this case:-

 a) Want to seek attention b) Have some emotional dysfunction and it's their duty to make life harder for everyone around them c) Just simply can't get over it d) Extremely miserable and insecure

Mozart

Listen dimness - the post is not advertised.  SARU was very clear about who will determine who is appointed as Head Coach and  that is Erasmus.   Your whole argument is worthless.  The quotation said Zero about the issue of who will identify and effectively approved the appointment.

And the rest of your story is assumption - nothing more.   Erasmus made bloody sure before his contract that he will have the final say when it comes to staffing and usage of staff falling under him.   He saw what happened under the previous coaches and would not accept anything else - because he knew perfectly well what happened under Meyer and in his previous contract where his control of the Head Coach was really less than it should have been..  That allowed Meyer to go off the rails with team selection and even a game plan that nobody understood and  never was really implemented.

Hand holding is utter BS and totally dreamed up.   It is a fact of organizational effectiveness that count.   Your understanding of functional organization seems to be totally defective anyway.

You are always a bloody big mouth and keep on arguing about things you are clueless about, so you have the SARU telephone number and ask them what is going on.   Then you may have an argument - at this stage read and understand the following:-

 a) Want to seek attention b) Have some emotional dysfunction and it's their duty to make life harder for everyone around them c) Just simply can't get over it d) Extremely miserable and insecure            .

No. You are the dim one here and you are the last to be lecturing anybody about their comprehension of the English language. Fact is that you have just proven my point exactly. All on your own. Thank you for that.

I asked you whether you were bullshitting when you talked about what a dozen reporters, note one fucking dozen, i.e. exactly twelve reporters wrote. That was what I have been questioning right from the start. You’ve been ducking and diving to get out of your predicament in one post after the other and you failed every time.

You had no proof to back up your bullshit and in the end you phoned SARU to try and get away from your blatant lie. That didn’t fool me because you could not get away from the fact that you were bullshitting all along...... again and as usual.

Now you have unwittingly admitted that you did not see a dozen reports by a dozen reporters.

Now, look at your remark. I am not sure whether you have noted the kak construction of your sentence. It makes no sense. Check it out:

“ First of all - I did not really looked for articles and decided to contact SARU and asked them what the opposition is,   “

Since you are trying to lecture me on my understanding of the English language, let’s dissect your remark.

1. “First of all - I did not really looked for articles.” The rule that we have learned early in primary school was that the word “did” cannot be followed by a past tense. Should have been “I did not really look...”

2. “....  and decided to contact SARU and asked them what the opposition is,“ Opposition to what?

3. Fact is that you did not phone SARU to find out what the POSITION is. You phoned them to try and get away from your embarrassing lie about the dozen reporters reporting on the issue.

Maybe, just maybe, you were scared that you would not find any reporters, reporting on the matter, in a way that was in line with your other fantasy dozen reporters.

Maybe, just maybe, you knew that you would find a dozen reporters, reporting on a matter, that was  in line with your fantasy dozen reporters.

Maybe, just maybe, when pressured, you did do a search for those articles that you thought you saw and noticed that they actually reported along the lines of the one that Moz quoted, and you realised: “Farking hell, Ou Tokkie, you really blew it again. This is going to take some fancy footwork to get out of this one. Maybe I should phone SARU and post their number. That should do it. He will not even notice that I sidestepped the issue of the twelve reporters”.

Time to give up ou Sopdrol. You’ve been found out long ago and it is true that you do not have the balls to admit it.

Listen Idiot Speaker - let me remind you of the fact that Erasmus was appointed as Head Coach - when in fact he never was ands he was appointed as Director of Rugby as I indicated.   You even produced a newspaper article that he was appointed as Head Coach.   He never was and you were made to look the idiot you always specialize in.  Now you have this story also at shit end as per normal.

If you are not so bloody stupid to continue with the farce after you were proven to talk idiotic BS again, why don't you phone SARU and asked them -

*   whether the Head Coach position has been advertised of will be adv ertized;

*    who will effectively select the person to be appointed - will there be a selection committee or will the selection be left to Erasmus to determine.

*    when will the post be filled.

Piss brain said both Venter and I am wrong and when I really spoke telephonically to SARU I was told exactly what will happen and when,

So keep up with your malfunctioning brain cell - it is amazing for me to see how really stupid you are.
