Are you not really the most stupid individual ever.   Remember the dozen reporters who said Erasmus was appointed as Head Coach last year?  Were they right?

Better belief things when they happen and then you will know who and why.

It may be some leakage from somebody that is suddenly taken up by timeslive - with an agenda having ulterior objectives and I will believe it when I see the Davids'  appointment.

He has no real record of coaching anything and is the exact opposite in rugby thinking from what Erasmus is.   The latter will not be influenced  by the media.   So wait and see what Erasmus decides on or phone SARU and ask them if the rumour of David's appointment is true is true before you speak shit again as per normal.

The hot topic three weeks ago was Plumtree - so I believe the latest is on the same level,

Which dozen? I have not read their article and neither have you, by your own admission, so who are they? How do you expect me to remember what they wrote if I don’t even know who they are? I wouldn’t know if they were right. I don’t know who they are. I wouldn’t know where to search for their articles to find out what they wrote so that I can determine whether what they wrote were the truth.

You refuse to provide any links to the articles by your mysterious twelve. I think we should call them the Dirty Dozen. What do you think?

“ Better belief things when they happen and then you will know who and why. “

Tell me, Oh superior master of and great lecturer on the English language, are you 100% sure of your grammar in the above sentence. I’m sure that you were looking for a verb of some form, following the word “Better....”. The word you chose is a noun.

Your poor feet. Is there any spot on any of your feet that doesn't have a bullet hole in it yet?

This was the first time the Dirty Dozen was mentioned [pay very close attention to the date]:

I wrote what a dozen reporters in the media wrote about the appointment of the Head Coach since the WC and you claimed that it was wrong to refer to it after another Mozart story sucked from his thumb.  So look up anything to support your story if you want to - I am not going to run around after having to deal with your BS about Erasmus's own appointment previously. "

See? There it is right there on the 21st of November 2019 at 09:50. The very next post was me asking for just a few links to articles by any of the Dirty Dozen. That is more than four days ago.

Today at 17:27 you come up with something at last. Only one small problem and maybe that is why we have the usual deception again. You gave us nothing but the headline. I wonder why?

Maybe you didn't really think it through and you just accepted that I would not delve any deeper. But I know you and I know how devious you are and that I should never accept anything you say at face value. So, voila, within twenty seconds I found the reason why you did not dare give us more than the headline.

Check it out. There it is for all to see. The author of this article cannot be one of the Dirty Dozen because the article was only published on 24 November, three days after you first mentioned the Dirty Dozen. I supp ose that, because of all the bullet holes in your feet, you will soon have to start aiming for your kneecaps.

Because that is all there is to it.   There was one sentence following the Headline starting off with what Davids said about himself.   The rest of the story is only available to site members and that journalist started stories in the past that caused serious problems for the Springboks,

Rumours can be started by anybody - so who started the rumour and why did you refer to a dozen reporters claiming such.

One could never believe rumours started to attain an objective by stealth - such as trying to force through the media the appointment of a certain individual in this case by Erasmus.

There is something you miss out on Erasmus is a professional - a real expert in Rugby - none of our previous three coaches were and they all three flopped.    He would never have accepted the job of Director of Rugby without stopping interference by non-professionals in his Department - which include also coaching,

He would rather walk out than bow to the idiots like Mozart wrote about when he referred to the so-called media forcing him to change the game plan in the final.    Everyone - inclusive of the players - denied that anything like that happened.

By the way Plumtree was on the Supersport panel during the WC and kept on talking about us when he referred to the Springbok team - causing some real jibes by the other panelists who included Matfield and De Villiers,    Weird - but true.   The question is - why was he in SA at the time of the WC and what was that "us" all about?   That is not  rumour - that really happened.  Maybe because his wife is a South African.

Another person also on the panel was Milner-Skudder - he had a string of injuries,   He is supposed to have gone to Toulon starting from the 2019-20 season - but that seemingly did not happen due to injury.  There was a rumour that he was going to retire because of injury problems.  Question - why did the two came to SA to participate in the Supersport panels?  Don't know why that happened.

Dave

U read it too - but I do not think he is on the same wavelength as Erasmus as to coaching and that makes the appointment totally questionable.   It is based on rumours that is being spread to my mind to  enhance David's candidancy for the job,

I believe that in accordance with my telephonic enquiry  the new coach will be appointed by February  and depends entirely on whom Erasmus selected for the job.  I think it is better to wait and see what actually happens..

I think the delay is due to negotiations as to conditions for appointment,  I indeed it is David's those negotiations would not be necessary o he would accept any offer.

Davids might be one of our best coaches, but he's not ready yet. Bring him in as assistant under Nien aber. We need some continuity for a change.

Really? One knows you're in the dwang when you start referring to Davids as one of the best.
Seems a quota is being lined up to go along with the quota captain and his Quota Goats.
I guess it's a fitting way to begin the new era, right?
I'd be pissed if I were Stick. He was with Rassie right from the start and should be next in line. Could it be that he was there as mere decorations ... quota decorations? I wonder?

Go Stick!!!

CC

Erasmus is a real professional when it comes to coaching.   Stick was used for a specific purpose and  he did well in that context.   I do not think he is a real choice as Head Coach - he will remain in the coaching set-up and further developed over time.

As to David I think it is a political game played by some to force Erasmus's hand.   They are preparing for a "political" scandal if he is not appointed.   David had a dicey record as a coach thus far and if Erasmus was really interested he would have taken him to the WC as a consultant to see whether he will be a fit person to become Head Coach.
I think chances are that Plumtree will be the candidate  Erasmus will select.    His thinking on rugby is more in line with that of Erasmus and the final decision on the appointment will be taken by Erasmus.   The only things relating to that is negotiations on the contract and to see whether Plumtree is offered a position in the AB coaching structure,    In any event as far as I know from newspaper reports   the decision on the AB coaching set-up will be announced during the last week of January 2020 and the Springbok situation in February 2020 as confirmed by SARU.   .   .

Really? One knows you're in the dwang when you start referring to Davids as one of the best. (We are in the "dwang". I don't see any seasoned coaches with a proper track record...and I said "might"...I'm not really sure, but curious enough to see more)

Stick is no coach yet. He had a specific task in the coaching team, which he apparently fulfilled quite well... Davids took a rag tag bunch of misfits and rejects at the Kings and turned them into a team that played a much more than decent brand of rugby in their last season of Super Rugby. Had the Kings been able to keep that team together for the Pro 14, who knows what could have been?
I did not like the way the Kings were forced into SR, but they won me over with the way they played. I ended up watching more of their matches than any other SA side. Don't write him off just yet...
Having said all that, I don't want him to be Springbok head-coach...I just think he might be better than most of the other local coaches.

"The Kings started the 2017 Super Rugby season on a losing note, with a 26–39 defeat to the Jaguares in Port Elizabeth. They secured their first away win for four years in their next match, winning 37–23 against the Sunwolves in Singapore, but followed that up by three consecutive defeats on home soil, against the Stormers, Sharks and Lions respectively. They lost to the Western Force and Reds in their opening two matches of their Australian tour, but bounced back by beating the Waratahs 26–24 in Sydney. They secured their highest victory margin in their next match, winning 44–3 against the Rebels in Port Elizabeth, before securing their first ever victory over South African opposition, beating the Sharks 35–32. After losing to the Brumbies and the Lions in their next two matches, they secured 31–30 away wins to the Jaguares and the Bulls in their next two, before ending their campaign with a 20–21 defeat to the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein. Their record of six wins and nine losses saw them finish bottom of the Africa 2 Conference, fifth in the South African Group – ahead of local rivals the Bulls and Cheetahs – and 11th overall. Lionel Cronjé topped their scoring charts, finishing on 136 points for the season, the fourth-highest in the competition, while winger Makazole Mapimpi scored 11 tries, a new seasonal and all-time record for the Kings and the joint-third highest in the competition."

Not Great, but given the resources, there might be potential...I would like to see what he can do with better resources.

I'd like to see Davids at a decent union, the Bulls would be a good fit. I'd like him to have a decent backroom staff too, give him a chance I think he isn't as bad as the Kings make him look.

Davids looked alright for the Kings in SuperRugby, but he was hopeless in Pro14. He was eventually fired from the Kings.
Of the known non-white coaches we have:
1. Pdivvy.2. Alister Coetzee3. Stick4. Davids
If it is going to be another quota selection, then Davids may be the best option. Stick may have potential but surely a coach needs to learn at Currie Cup, Pro14 or SuperRugby as a head coach first of all.
I would prefer Rassie stays on as coach - and then appoints Nick Mallett as director of rugby.

Not the best coach in the world will be able to improve on the rabble that remains from the Kings. Truly stuffed franchise.

"If it is going to be another quota selection, then Davids may be the best option. "

None of them should be coach. Nienaber should be coach and the next best option should be his assistant, groomed under the tutelage of Rassie and the rest of the team. You must crawl before you walk or run...that's how life works. No free rides.

SB

Won't work - two determined people with a somewhat different outlook will find it hard.  Remember the  Director of Rugby is the boss  and the Head coach falls under him and  there will be immediate fire works between those two.

No Erasmus all long was the Director of Rugby and the fact that he did the coaching was because the Head Coach position was vacant.   Erasmus will not be interested in the lesser job and winning the RC  and the WC makes his position extremely strong and virtually unassailable, especially since the original agreement was that he will decide on the coaching staff,

Proudfoot contract is also up for renewal - that is if he wants renewal and stay on.   It may be possible that David may take that job - if the decision is that it will not be possible to renew the Proudfoot contract.   Another candidate for that position may be De Villiers who was part of Meyer's coaching staff at Stade Francais.   Also a coach with a questionable record - so Erasmus may see the gab and rather select Davis for that job if Proudfoot's contract is not renewed.

However - as mentioned above Erasmus knows a heck of a lot about Plumtree's coaching from the years he was the Sharks coach and  that makes him a real candidate, especially sicnce according to reports the two has much the same outlook on rugby issues,

However, I am afraid whatever is in the media and on this site is  at best speculation and guessing - what I am confident of is that in the end Erasmus will make the right selection based on purely rugby consideration - nothing else. .

My money is on Plumtree as head coach and David as forward coach if  Proudfoot is indeed leaving,   .

When the Kings managed to win 6 games with a bunch of second rate players, I was pretty impressed with what Davids had achieved with so little. They also played an attractive attacking style of rugby. It did make me think there might be something in this guy but I don’t know nearly enough about him

Listen to yourselves. You've all surrendered the Boks to the authorities. You've all accepted their racist views. Turning a blind eye to everything they do.

The Boks are now a team where unmerited, unskilled, incompetent black coaches are brought for grooming.

Whatever happened to paying your dues? Working your way up? Improving your skills at club level and earning the right to coach at the higher level?

What is the matter with you? When are you guys going to grow a pair?

White players and coaches have to pay their dues ... earn the right to play for their country, even though they're overlooked  ... earn the right to coach at a higher level ... and you guys are ok with this

I can understand that Pap Piel Mike would favour this as he has a history of selling his people out ... but it seems you've all embraced these policies now.

Why is the Afrikaaner so set on being the nice guy ... to his own detriment? You have turned into their whipping boys. The fight has gone out of you.

I don't get it.

My grandfather would be ashamed of what his people have become.

CC, I work to change what I can, live with the things I can't change. I don't accept quotas, but the fact that Davids is a POC does not make him a quota.  I don't see any white coaches kicking the door down. I don't say he's the answer, only that he's worth a look on the back of some actual performance. Or are you saying that the Kings were a complete waste of time?

And we actually won the rugby world cup, so I think we have enough fight left...we pick our battles, you on the other hand, seem to have given up already...would Oupa be proud of that?

Actually I can't think of any other controlling group that has given up control without being defeated in some major confrontation. The Afrikaner is unique in that sense......is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Then there is this:

SA Rugby president Mark Alexander has confirmed that the new Springbok coach will hopefully be appointed by the end of 2019.

World Cup-winning Bok coach Rassie Erasmus has stepped down from the head coaching role to focus on his responsibilities as SA Rugby director of rugby. Defence guru Jacques Nienaber and ex-Kings boss Deon Davids are believed to be the frontrunners in the race to succeed Erasmus.

Speaking at the South African-leg of the 2020 Vodacom Super Rugby launch, Alexander said the appointment of the new head coach will be made within the next month.

‘We want the new coach in place by the end of year. We of course want there to be continuity in the job. We want to start 2020 with the new coach in place.’

Alexander also revealed that Erasmus will play a key role in the identification and selection process of his successor.

‘We’re just waiting for the coach’s report and then Rassie Erasmus [the former coach and full-time Director of Rugby] will come to us with a proposal, which we’ll take to the executive and then take to the general council for approval,’ Alexander explained.

..........

Erasmus recommends ....the General Council makes the decision. Stick with moz.

That is  what is total BS again.   Will the General Council reject Erasmus's selection - not a chance in hell of that.    The General Council will just give just give formal approval - not selection of the coach as was normal in the past.   The fact is everyone knows what would happen - not that  they will in fact select the Head Coach, they will just be going through the motion.

Erasmus will in fact select the coach - end of sto ry.

And then shockingly the Council will  approve the suggestion they have already made.

Welcome to how it really works.

What Directive Mozart

You are guessing what is potentially BS,   You do not know what you are talking about at all - no  proof at all.

Erasmus is no fool - he realized from the start what damage the amateurs at SARU is causing SA Rugby and he would not sit around and let them continuing with their BS,   SARU will apeove what Erasmus recommends - not the other way around.

Quote 1 (Cleverstein):

"*   That Erasmus will himself decide on the filling of the post - but SARU will announce the decision on the appointment.  "

This, to me me, means that Rassie will decide who the next coach will be.

Quote 2 (Mark Alexander as per Moz' quote):

" Alexander also revealed that Erasmus will play a key role in the identification and selection process of his successor.

‘We’re just waiting for the coach’s report and then Rassie Erasmus [the former coach and full-time Director of Rugby] will come to us with a proposal, which we’ll take to the executive and then take to the general council for approval,...' "

This, to me, means that Rassie will make a recommendation to the board and if the board supports his recommendation, they will take the recommendation to the Executive who will then take it to the General Council for their approval, i.e. decision. Clearly the final decision lies three levels above Rassie's pay grade. Rassie-Board-Executive-General Council.

So, the crux is that we are now left with a question. Who was bullshitting? Was it Ou Maaikie or was it Mark Alexander? if it was not Alexander, then I assume that Ou Maaikie will obviously put the blame squarely on the shoulders of some person at SARU who gave him false information.

Nobody but you BSted

What was written before  Alexander confirmed  -  Erasmus  will identify/select the coach and he will be appointed.   Nobody said anything about a pro-forma acceptance by SARU of the inevitable.   What was in dispute was that you said that Erasmus will not identify t he coach to be appointed.   You even went on now to suggest  that Erasmus has been told by SARU whom to suggest must be appointed.

What was said in plain words was that Erasmus will identify the person to be appointed ie the person  Erasmus wants as Head Coach.   According to SARU procedure the Board will confirm the appointment.

No I am not digging - I am just responding to BS spread by you and Mozart.   Remember how you carried on about Erasmus being appointed as Head Coach and not Director of Rugby at the time  of his appointment,   What Mozart came up with is the continuation of slurs against Erasmus again - this time in a slightly different format,   This include taking instructions from SARU as to whom, he may suggest as Head Coach.

Both of you misinterpreted what Alexander really said as to appointment of the Head Coach and left out the situation as selection of the Head Coach by Erasmus,  The handholding statement for a while as stated by Mozart is also a slur on the statement by Erasmus himself  with the deduction that Erasmus will opt out of the situation based on what the idiot alleged  happened in the past - this time about Erasmus handholding the Head Coach for a while and then disappearing from the scene.

Anyway we w ould know sooner or later whom it will be and what actions will be dealt with as to coaching management by Erasmus as Director of Rugby, .

Anybody who believes Eraser has the freedom to appoint any coach he wants is a naive fool.

1 Eraser understands quite well what the acceptable set of coaches is.....and that narrows the field dramatically.

2 When Eraser makes his recommendation ...it will be 'taken to the Executive' and then to the Council.

Eraser appoints nobody, he makes a recommendation out of an approved field. A valued recommendation because we are WC winners, but still only a recommendation.

Who determined the approved field and why is Erasmus forced to come up with a name out of the list given to him by SARU?    You think that Erasmus would accept a substandard coach based on what SARU gave him

Thus far Erasmus decided on the coaching staff to be appointed and SARU accepted his choices - even that guy Jones he brought from Munster,   No Mozart - you are foolish to think that Erasmus would just accept a coach suggested by SARU.   That happened in  the past and was a disaster.
Why do you think the job of Head Coach was NOT advertised and the SARU panel then decide in who should be appointed?
