I agree, it would have to be a day where the ABs have a shocking game & the Boks have everything go right.

The Allblacks lead the points difference in the last 5 matches against the Bokke by 11 points, 10 of wich was from the last clash, the one in the RWC...that's how close it has become...pity Covid stuffed things up the last 2 seasons...it could have been epic.

The chicken run stuffed things up….it could have been epic. This match turns on the Bok defence, if we can rediscover our defensive mojo we can make a game of it.

The chicken run is in your mind only ...we were still prepared to play if were given a week or two extra to prepare...NZ said "No!"...you have to protect the brand...if you think the previous two weeks were bad...last year would have been way worse.

Sorry guys, we could have worked out a deal if we wanted to work out a deal. Harrassmus was quite happy not competing….resting on his laurels. If he was a real competitor he’s still be coaching the Boks and be in Australia right now. Hell and high water couldn’t have kept Jake away….he’d rather coach the local high school than be a suit behind the scenes.

But listening to the drumbeats around this game I’m beginning to think NZ is a bit like the Poms at the WC….over confident. This has turned into a one-off game, the kind we are good at. Hopefully Eben, Duane and co are really up for this game and the rugby gods are on our side.

Moz, my take on the ABs is we are getting our act together but we are not there yet & we are missing at least 3 top players in key positions. So we shouldn’t be cocky. Plus it will come down to who can impose their styl e

Yes Smith in particular has been brilliant this year. I would be shocked if the Boks didn’t show for this game. It comes down to the Bok defence vs the AB’s offense. I doubt the Boks win that battle for 2 games….for one game, if we really focus, maybe.

There's a certain way the All Blacks approach Bok tests. Saffers always expect to be run off their feet when they are coming off a loss, or new Zealand win big in the build-up. But it doesn't often happen that way. Wellington in 2018 was unusual, because they really did set up to absolutely wash us away. And, in spite of Steph's and Dumbian's best efforts, we had a miraculous outcome as NZ left themselves far too open. It won't happen that way again. I bet there's a desire in the All Black camp to put us in our place. To take back what is theirs and reclaim honour. The Boks will be motivated, they have to be, because if they aren't, this team can bully us. We are not quite the power pack that we are being billed as. In truth, the last true power pack was in 2013. It was simply too much for anyone to cope with.

From what I've read the ABs first want to battle in the forwards, in part as a way to slow the rush defense. If so they will only throw the ball around in the backs once the have the boks thinking about defense close to forwards.

Pretty much what I prescribed above, today…..except we surprised NZ at the breakdown where both Kwagga and van Staden applied real pressure.
